We stayed two nights at the Glenmoriston Town House and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very small but the beds are comfortable. Nice restaurant downstairs and the little bar is well attended by locals.

Room tip: avoid rooms facing the parking area, the noise from the lounge can travel up and may keep light sleepers awake.

We just finished a 16 night trip to the U.K. where we spent 3 days in Inverness. The Glenmoriston Town House is perfectly located on the River Ness only 1/2 mile or so from the main shopping / restaurant area. We splurged on a 'suite'... it was quite large and well appointed (including washer / dryer and kitchen facilities). There was a stain on the living room carpet but overall, the suite was nice if not a little boring. (This may be a bit harsh as we had stayed in a lavish suite in the Cotswold and London the previous days).

Room tip: splurge on a suite if you want a lot of space and the ability to cook / do laundry

Hi Lansingmitch, thanks for taking the time to review your stay at the Glenmoriston and for your lovely comments. I've not heard the suite being described as boring before but I suppose its subjective. Wishing you a pleasant homeward trip.

We stayed at Glenmoriston as part of a group tour. We stayed in the main building upstairs, which does have some charm. The room was small but comfortable with no view. The bath was small, updated and clean. We ate breakfast at the continental buffet, as ordering off the menu resulted in long wait times for food. Otherwise the breakfast waitresses were fast and efficient. We had several spiders in our room and found one dead in the bed in the morning. We couldn’t get the TV to work. The location of this place is beautiful, right on the River Ness and within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants. It has the potential to be great, but instead was really just an okay stay.

Hi Lillymom, thanks for reviewing your stay. We cook every single breakfast that goes out to order which can take a little longer than reheating. Its sad in this day and age that this is not the norm and we do ask for patience from our guests. I cannot comment on the spiders and their demise but if you have asked for assistance for the TV at Reception we would have been delighted to assist.

This small guest house is an ideal location , great view of the Loss Ness, on the walking path toward town, a five minute walk to restaurants, etc, but still very quiet location. Staff was very helpful, great tips on places to see, etc.Our room was very comfortable with nice amenities.Nice breakfast. They do have a restaurant which we did not know about and made other arrangements for dinner, if we visit again we would eat here, the menu looked great and it was busy.

Room tip: Book one of the front rooms with a view, very nice and comfortable

This location was great for walking around and was right on the bank of River Ness! The service was great and our room very nice EXCEPT this hotel has no A/C or elevators! So travel light and there was a good floor fan in the room. There was a small free parking lot (car park) and onsite restaurant and bar. Our room had a view of the river and it was quiet every night so good location for sleeping!! We would stay here again!

Room tip: No elevator so be sure to let hotel know before you book if you have to be on the ground floor.

Hi Bridgette, thanks for reviewing your stay. You are right to say we have no AC but to be honest with an abundance of fresh clean air outside we don't often require it. We'd love an elevator but as the building is Grade II listed I'm afraid its not possible. However a third of our rooms are on the ground floor, and we are more than happy to assist with luggage. Hope to see you again.
