This hotel is obviously geared to coach parties. We stayed here as a family during the Mod week. We were in room 104 which was advertised as the 'family' room. The room was very nice and very spacious. However, the hotel did not seem to cater for children with their menus. We had to go to Morrisons and buy chicken bites to feed our children with as all the hotel could provide for our small children was chips. The food was uninspiring and seemed to come out on a conveyor belt. The waiting staff were obsequious and tried too hard to please. One or 2 of the reception staff were a bit over-bearing. After 3 nights staying in the hotel we still had glasses in the room that we had taken back to the room on the first night of our stay. The outside of the hotel could do with a bit of sprucing up. Entrance needs to be better sign posted. The beer was extortionately priced.

Room Tip: 104 is a big room

We arrived to a very friendly welcome,as it had been a tiring journey,we were given a room on the low floor,it was lovely and spacious ,we had a walk in wardrobe ,wow, the bathroom had a bath and shower and it had plenty of room ,very clean and tidy,we had a front view,so could see the loch, which was pleasing. The bed was very comfortable and we had all we wanted for a morning drink and a modern tv on the wall.
The restaurant was spacious and the tables were laid out well, the food was good and hot,the only but is that would have liked a choice of vegetables ,and felt a bit rushed between courses, but that’s the only thing, the staff were very friendly, you couldn’t ask for nicer staff,we intend to go back,ok the decor was a tiny bit dated, but it looked fine and clean and warm, and Scottish theme,we loved it !!! Entertainment was good ,the accordion player was excellent ,if you want west end,go to London, for this hotel,it was just right, well done this hotel.

Room Tip: Front rooms look over loch, the noise is well away from the rooms,

After reading the reviews of this hotel only after booking with Alfa Travel, We were a bit sceptical and apprehensive of the hotel, but were willing to try it, on arraival w got a very warm welcome from the hotel management and all our luggage was taken to our rooms, Th e food was excellent quality with a very good choice from the menu they had, the staff from management down to cleaning were the most polite and friendly people you could meet, we must single out our waitress for the stay Domanika what a pleasant and charming person, after the first night our drinks and breakfast were ready as soon as we sat down and all preparied as we requested from the first day, and drinks prepaiered to our specification without complaint, the rooms were very good as well and too warm for us and had to turn the heating right down, the decor was good too and yes the outside could do with some tlc but that aside for a 3 star hotel we feel we got 5 star service on our stay, we have booked to return next year again as we were very impressed with the service and the tidy way the hotel was run, Look forwards to meeting the staff again next year and would recommend this hotel without hesitation,
Congratulations to all the staff for a wonderful holiday

Room Tip: Just ask for a sea view

We spent six nights at Croit Anna with an Alpha Coach trip in August 2017. We had asked for a ground floor room due to mobility problems but unfortunately ended up on the first floor. Had we travelling by car we would not have given this Hotel a second glance as there a far better offering in Fort William. The outside of the Hotel is a bit off putting and looks dated and uncared for. However the room overlooking the Lock which was fantastic. The room and ensuite was comfortable, warn, clean and tidy. The only let down was the balcony which was covered in slippy green slime and was really dangerous.
All the staff were helpful and attentive and the meals although a little repetitive always arrived warm and tasty and were very good. The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss with Bingo every night to kick thing off. The Bar staff were very funny and really made the evenings. Just one last moan though, the lounge was cold and dreary and is in need a good paint job, a warm fire, and a spruce up.Anyway a good big thank you for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Room Tip: Choose a room looking over the Loch

Having just returned from an Alfa break I can only speak of high praise for the Croit Anna. Fantastic location only a few miles from Fort William and beautiful views over the loch. Great food and well managed hotel. All of the staff were very friendly. From the reception team, housekeeping and the bar and restaurant staff, all wanted you to have a great stay. Warm and comfortable rooms. Great value.
