After driving through the Highlands is the best way to end the day. Nice place, beautiful view and better food. Mussels amazing!

Delicious fresh seafood dishes, a good selection of daily specials in a quirky and warm environment right on the loch. Very friendly owners and staff, the restaurant was busy and had a nice ambience when we visited.

A fabulous meal for myself and my girlfriend on her first visit to the fort William area. Had been excited about this since the day we arrived for our very short three day holiday. Food was wonderful the fish chowder was a dreamy blend of fish and cream which spoke to the soul! My girlfriend enjoyed the homemade Crannog fishcakes on the specials. We followed with the hake on a delicious bed of mushroom risotto and she had the monkfish which came with a delicious sauce of saffron and mussel. Couldn't fault the menu other than that the seafoood platter was just too expensive to consider at 37.50 per head. A wonderful meal and served by a very attentive young waitress who we sadly didn't catch the name of and no space for pudding but the salted caramel cheesecake!!...we'll have to come back.
Only small downside was the lack of some balsamic vinegar with the complementary bread and olive oil.

Booked as we read the great reviews but we ended up being really disappointed. Service was fantastic even though they were very busy, but food very bland, lacked refinement and passion in our opinion. Looked ok on the plate but disappointing on taste. We had Veggie croquettes with chilli jam, tasteless except for the very hot chilli jam obviously. Cullen Skink which was Ok but nothing special and had much better the previous day. For mains we both had the Hake and mushroom Risotto. Fish cooked well and a decent size, but again very bland. We also tried an extra, the roast veg, and when they arrived they were only just warm and verging on raw. They were certainly not oven roasted. Unfortunately they were then replaced with hot but still raw veg! A great setting and atmosphere but we can't say its great food i'm afraid or value for money.
