This guided tour (with samplings) was well worth the small cost. We all learned a great deal about the process of distilling Scotch Whiskey and the history of the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and it did not take up your whole day..... Beautiful views to the location.

If you only tour one distillery while you are in Scotland, it should be this one. Small, intimate tour really gets to the heart of the old fashioned whisky distilling process. Aromas in the aging warehouse are wonderful, and the whisky tasting isn't too bad either!

Having only tried whisky once in my life but I left the Distillery a big fan of the cream liqueur. The overall tour was very informative and as a Scottish visitor was impressive as this tour will make a great impact on foreign visitors.

This is a beautiful place to visit. The distillery is independently owned and really very small (though production is set to more than double when they finish building their new warehouse and still room). The setting is peaceful and tranquil, in spite of it's popularity; there really are lots of visitors for such a small place. The tour cost £10 and was given by a very nice young man called Dylan. He was extremely knowledgeable and so very thorough; the level of detail given surpassed any other standard distillery tour I have been on. It is also the first distillery that will allow the public unfettered access to the warehouse; rather than remaining by the door and using you imagination, we were able to get right inside and take lots of pictures. We tasted a choice of two of their popular whiskies - including a cream liqueur, the peated Ballechin and the popular Edradour 10 - and we were able to keep the Glencairn glass to take home with us. The tour also includes and breakdown of all of the products in the shop, which is a useful addition.

Don't pass this up if you're near Pitlochry. The tour takes about an hour and gives you a good sense of what making Scotch was all about before the big boys took over. Very welcoming tour guide who gave us a nice overview of the craft. Enjoy a tasting of several of Edradour's well-made whiskies, and get a souvenir glass in the process. The glass and tasting alone were worth the price of admission. Now hoping I can buy their product in the States.
