“Winter in Scotland”
Reviewed 9 March 2016 for a stay in November 2015

I stayed in a cottage for a few months with a college while working in Scotland, I stayed in the November and then in January to March, despite the cold outside the cottage was warm and cosy inside.
The cottage has all the facilities you need for a long stay and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage was cleaned regularly while we were there and to a very high standard.
The owners could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

“Great Family accomodation”
Reviewed 26 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

These cottages are fabulous, they are very clean, and exceptionally well equipped. Scotland is cold in the winter but these cottages are so well insulated that you dont have the heating on for long. They have a large entrance area, our cottage had a lovely sized family bathroom as well as a generous on suite. The kitchen, dining and living area are open plan and it was perfect for us, there is free wi-fi and the mobile signal was good but also there is a land line phone which the owners can log on for you, it is also handy if you need to call them. There was three good sized well presented bedrooms. They also have a communal area that is secure enough for young children as in they cant get out, included in this area is a covered space where weather permitting you can eat outside there is also a gas barbecue, added bonus was the football pitch, where my grandsons would have stayed all day, it is enclosed with a tall hedge all round so the wind doesnt bother you. The cottages feel as though they are located in the middle of a field, but shopping, train stations with good access to Edinburgh and Glasgow are less than a ten minute drive, okay the road leading to the cottages are not classified, so think of it as a a bit of a long drive way, and if you drive it in the dark just take a little more care because my eldest grandson was convinced he had got it wrong and was heading for a field which made us laugh. The views at the top (little bench there) are spectacular. They are just outside of Linlithgow and there are two entrances, one is the more scenic as in country roads and if you haven't driven in the area take allot of care, the other is the main roads and well sign posted. My younger grand children were very happy with the sheep, horses and deer. Remember you are in the country side. The owners are fabulous. We choose these as the cottages we normally stay at were full and I am glad we did, we will be back next year it was a lovely change.

“Fabulous accommodation and welcoming owners”
Reviewed 21 August 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A great find! The cottage was huge and easily accommodated our large family group, so well equipped, even included kitchen roll, cling film and washing tablets! Immaculately clean and very modern. The football field was great for the kids to play in- a real bonus for us! The owners were very pleasant and welcoming. We shall definitely return on our future visits to the area.

“Beautiful location, lovely cottage, immaculately clean, A*”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cottage was very new and modern, and wheelchair accessible. It was immaculately clean and had everything you could need. The owners had even left it stocked with cleaning/washing up materials, tea towels, some tea/coffee/sugar/creamer to start you off, and a vase of flowers. Wifi was free. The cottages were circled around a communal garden area with a covered barbecue and sitting/eating area, and there were some lovely walks nearby. The town of Linlithgow was a short drive with its historic palace and Edinburgh wasn't too far. Altogether lovely.
The double bed in our cottage was two single beds put together which meant an uncomfortable ridge down the middle which was a shame, but the other cottages might have had double beds (hence only "good" for beds and mattresses rating).

“absolutely brillient, dont think about it book now!”
Reviewed 6 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Marion and Jim are lovely and can not do enough for you.The cottage is spotlessly clean and really homely. There is everthing you could ever need at hand and lots of special little touches eg flowers on the table and shampoos ,soap etc. The towels are lovely and fluffy and the beds are really comfortable in spacious rooms. There is a football pitch for the children and a BBQ with tables and lighting and a BBQ for anyone to use. The gardens are well maintained and very pretty and the views are breathtaking. The fishery is peaceful and quiet in lovely surroundings a credit to Jim. We took mum with us she is 90 so the wet room onsuite was ideal for her.Marion even bought us a shower chair and a frame for the toilet which was much appreciated. There a many places to visit within 20 mins drive the Falkirk wheel! Take the kids swimming costumes for the pool. The Kelpies in the day and at sunset are a must. It was a fantastic beautiful place we would recommend it to anyone. We already have!! Thanks again Marion and Jim.
