We have been there for one night after been to the Cliffs of Moher. The staff was lovely and very helpful. We liked the old style of the hotel. Very cosy and quiet. The breakfast was lovely also. Good deal!!

This hotel was clean, decor was dated, but the room had everything you'd need for an overnight stay. The breakfast was good, Basic but you get what you pay for :)
I didn't use the spa facilities so cant comment on those

We bought a deal on living social €99 for two nights B&B with one evening meal. Extreme value for money. Staff were lovely on arrival, rooms were sufficient. Water did run cooler in the shower at one stage. We ate in the bar and the food was lovely and again the staff were friendly. We went to the spa and had treatments which was great value for money and good service. 5 mins in a taxi from town and lovely little restaurants and bars around. Night porter was a great craic too! Will def visit again soon

Room Tip: Rooms 401 onwards are the further away than others incase people need to be closer to reception/restaurant/front door

Starting with the good things, the rooms and bathrooms are nice size, there is lots of wood carved decor and a nice fire in the lobby area, and it's cheap. Bad? The breakfast is really pretty terrible, there was no hot water one morning for showers, the hotel lay-out is odd with lots of twists, turns and half floors a long walk from the lobby. It's not located walking distance from anything. You get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Some rooms were waaaaaay away from the lobby - get one close.

we just spent a lovely weekend in Ennis after booking a 2 night deal with B&B and an evening meal included for only €99.....
The hotel itself, while a little tired decor wise is well equipped with a lovely leisure centre, really nice bar and restaurant.
We dined in the restaurant on the first night and the food was excellent for a hotel, a lovely asian salmon dish and a lovely flavoursome chicken supreme. veggies a little disappointing, they seemed to be a mixture of fresh and frozen vegetables (no offence if im wrong) they were bland. but everything else was lovely.
The bar is very pleasant but not all the staff were friendly, i hate when staff are already walking away while your still speaking to them.
this didn't take away from what was in general a lovely experience and i really must make a BIG mention about the breakfast. its a buffet like so many hotels nowadays which is fine as you can pick what you want and what quantities you want, and the food was very nice with lovely fried potatoes which was a nice touch, but my biggest compliment must go to the lady who seems to be the Maitre d' at breakfast, Edna !!! what an asset this woman is to the hotel, she was running around doing the work of 3 people with a permanent smile on her face, a friendly word for everyone, many of whom she even remembered their names, and people were hugging her when they were leaving after their few days away. Staff like here are so hard to find but hey make such an incredible difference to any establishment and we would go back to the Auburn Lodge just because of her. Well done Edna.

Room Tip: ask for a room near reception... some are a 10 minute walk away
