Absolutely packed, nose to nose! Live music, 4 ppl deep at the bar...but it’s a fun must see for Dublin!

This historic area is very walkable and during the daytime makes a pleasant walk and some great photo opportunities. It really comes alive at night though, as streets of bars open up. If you're in the mood for that, it's the place to be. Would probably be a nice place for a pub crawl. Clearly a place for stag and hen parties too. Recommend walking (day or night - choose your vibe) and this area is central to many other sights as well such as Haypenny bridge.

Outlying pubs are friendlier, better value, better food, less touristy. Temple Bar is a hour bus destination, so pick your pub carefully. Crazy crowded, not authentic if that’s what you’re looking for. Unless you really want fake Irish of course.

Very hectic but well worth exploring.

Look out for the Vintage Cocktail Company.... hidden in plain sight... amazing cocktails.

Temple bar will either be your idea of heaven or a complete nightmare.
Near enough every bar offers live music to get you into the Irish spirit. There is so much fun to be had at temple bar - the only downside is how busy it can be. Although I would recommend bar hopping so you get to experience every venue if your idea of a good night is sitting down and just chilling while watching the live music then you may want to get to the bars early as the tables get taken pretty quickly.
