I booked afternoon tea for myself and 2 friends while in Dublin. What a special treat. We were warmly welcomed and the table was beautifully set with bone China and a gorgeous candelabra. I can't begin to explain how special we were made to feel. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious, my friends had glasses of fizz, and the waiter kindly poured me some sparkling water in a champagne flute so that I didn't feel I was missing out, as I'm not drinking at the moment. The music playing was so fitting to the venue and all made the experience more special. The price was excellent. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough! Thank you to all the staff involved for making it wonderful!

Me and my partner spent a couple of days here midweek
We couldnt fault the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful,we were on the front in a large room which had a great shower room(even had a single spare bed in it) room 327 over looking tesco
We paid seperate for the irish breakfast which we couldnt fault at all
The only problem we did find was the noise in the early hours, lorries delivering on the cobbled street outside ,3.30am then 4am,4.30 unloading and dragging their metal trollies, bottles rattling across the cobbled street, engines running all the time while they are unloading, party goers shouting and screaming until 4am the first night
Then our last night was almost the same, then 4.30 am ,a drunken fella down the corridor was shouting and singing ,banging his door,im sure he must of woken a few unhappy guests up
It didnt help in our room as we had 3 wooden windows which didnt help in anyway with the noise
If we hadnt of have the noise issue id of given this hotel 10 / 10 but it did spoil our 2 nights ,ie about 1 1/2 hours sleep max per night

Dear mark180tx,

Thank you for taking the time to write this review of your stay in Temple Bar Hotel. I will pass you kind comments about the staff onto the rest of our team.

In relation to the noise you experienced, we are located in the centre of Temple Bar and from time to time we do suffer a degree of noise disruption from the surrounding business and equipment operation.

Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Should you wish to return to Dublin, please contact us personally. We would welcome the opportunity to restore the faith that you may have lost in us.

As the name suggests this hotel is about as central as it gets. You walk out of the lobby right into the centre of the city.
The price was better than many similar hotels that are situated much farther out of town and the room was nice but unremarkable.
I was concerned about noise but it didn't turn out to be a problem (though this was a midweek stay).
Aside from a frustratingly weak shower I have nothing negative to say about this place.
It will probably be the first place I look at the next time I need to stay in Dublin.

Excellent hotel, staff very helpful friendly and polite. Breakfast was really good to very homely feel in mornings. Couldn't be anymore central to bars shops. But also would suit families. There's also tesco straight across the road which is really handy as well. The rooms are spotless. This was the second time in 2 yrs I have been to Dublin but first time in temple bar hotel will be going again next yr and defo be staying here again. Would highly recomend a stay here.

A couple in our 30-40s mixed reasons for stopping sight seeing and pub crawling... Perfect central location for everything couldn't have picked better if I'm honest. Great fresh breakfast clean and plenty choice to set you up for the day. Attentive reception very helpful with our needs. Bedroom on 4th floor room 420 was adequate although the table needs attention and television needs changing sound was terrible vibration
. But everything else spot on and good price for location.we didn't personally hear any noise but if this could be a bother to you then stay away from temple bar simple !! We will be back soon
