We walked past here and randomly decided to eat here. Great service and good prices, especially their lunch menu. The cottage pie with chips was delicious, quite possibly the best meal I had in Ireland.

Ended up looking for dinner in Temple Bar which isn't the best for your wallet, but spotted this little doorway leading upstairs so we did the Alice in Wonderland thing and explored. I am so glad we came here. We really hit the jackpot for a very busy Friday night - they seated us right away (very lucky) and the food and drinks were top notch. The interior decoration of this restaurant is perfect for what it is which is a smaller than usual room in the heart of Dublin. Pictures and memorabilia fill the walls and the dark wood really creates an atmosphere. I had a White Russian which tasted lovely and looked funny because it hadn't been mixed so it was like a very heady Guinness. I also tried the Dublin Coddle, which I just had to for a first trip to Dublin, and it was so so good. So many different flavours and really nice mashed potato plus the presentation was great. Service was perfect, especially for a busy night with every table full and people queuing at the door!

Went to this restaurant twice in Dublin, offered pretty much the same food as the place next door - Quays Irish Restaurant - but not as busy. Service was excellent and food very nice, offers many options.

Tucked away upstairs not far from Temple bar but visible through someone outside handing out menus.

Awesome food, service and a nice atmosphere. Typically Irish.

I was in the Old mill tonight with my mom and guy friend, Simon was our waiter and was so lovely from the moment we walked in. He was quick to get us our meals and check in on us. The overall restaurant has a very cozy— home-like vibe. I love it there! And 10 points to Simon just for being so amazing!
