For a 4 star hotel, I was very disappointed. The hotel fell through on multiple occasions. Firstly I booked a double bed, when I arrived I had two single beds pushed together with a double sheet over it. Also within the room the shower door wouldn't close properly which meant the bathroom filled with water after a shower. Our phone didn't work and the iron leaked. I was extremely disappointed. When I rang to enquire about a carpark, I was informed that there was a hotel carpark. The carpark was tiny with huge cement pillars in between all the spaces which made it difficult to park. Despite it being for guests only, we had to pay 8e per day.
In regards to the restaurant, we needed a booking for the second night, while I understand it was a last minute booking, the staff didn't even try accommodation us. They seemed unbothered that we had no where to eat for the night. In regard to the breakfast, the food was average and barely warm.
I can't not recommend this place enough. I was so disappointed for a 4 star hotel. Especially with this being our first holiday since lockdown.

Myself and my daughter just spent one night in The Harbour Hotel. It was one of the best hotels iv ever stayed at, the bed was so comfortable and room was the perfect temperature. Breakfast was great also, but the most memorable aspect of this hotel is its staff, the most helpful, pleasant and professional especially the manager, im not sure if he was the manager ,if he wasn't he should be. I stayed for 2 nights in June with my partner. The location of the hotel was ideal, about a 2 minute walk to Erye square. The hotel parking was only €8 for 24hrs. The hotel itself was nice and the room was clean and modern. The food in the dillisk restaurant was also very good. The staff were always very kind and lovely to speak with and I will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel to family and friends. If I had to pick very very minor faults it would be that the corridors to the rooms are dark and the room we had was 2 beds pushed together which wasn't ideal. However, all in all its a fantastic hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I could not complain about any aspect of this hotel. Location, staff, parking, room, all perfect!

Nothing was a problem for reception staff. After emailing them re the make and model of the mattress we slept on they replied with all the details!

The room was beautiful and had everything we needed.

We had breakfast via room service which was well worth it. We didn't eat in the restaurant.

Just a few minutes walk to main shopping area.

Parking is round the back of the hotel at €8 overnight.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, it was great value.

From our arrival on Saturday we were made to feel welcome, not in the sometimes too common “you’re very welcome – is it your first time with us?”. The staff (and I always feel guidance is set by the tone at the top), are genuinely welcoming and nothing was too big of a challenge, or ask.

We had dinner in the Restaurant on both evenings, and obviously with breakfast in the same surroundings we had a lot of interaction with the restaurant staff.

Eoin is an uber-efficient meeter, greeter and welcoming gatekeeper; charming, personable and just the kind of individual you need in that role. I’d also like to pay tribute to Emma and Edyta who looked after us so wonderfully at our table. And in fairness, I couldn’t but mention Dearbhla who looked after us during our brief sojourn in the residents’ bar, while Siobhán at the reception desk administered proceedings in an ever efficient and friendly manner. And, Deirdre on the end of the phone was a pleasure to deal with.

So, this is not about Covid or how well the Hotel are handling things, they have that nailed.

This is just a simple acknowledgement of the wonderful staff they have in the Harbour Hotel. The predominantly young staff (well, they’re younger than I am) are a credit to the Harbour Hotel. In a time of business efficiencies where that personal welcome sometimes gets lost, it is reassuring to meet it in buckets in the Harbour Hotel.

As GM, Ali should be justifiably proud of their staff and how they represent the hotel on a daily basis. Please convey my thanks and appreciation to your staff for making us feel most welcome.
