Nice location outside of Killarney (5 minutes by car to the centre). Rooms are good and comfortable. Tea and coffee are on the rooms. Kathleen is a wonderful host. She is very helpfull and has a lot of insider tips for Killarney and the surrounding area. We felt very welcome.
Breakfast is typically irish.

I had the pleasure of staying in Kathleen's Country House recently and it was a very enjoyable experience. Kathleen is an excellent host and the guesthouse is very well appointed and comfortable. It is in a lovely quiet location on the edge of town but not far from the action. I will be returning to see Kathleen the next time I stay in Killarney. The guesthouse even has it's own fresh water spring. Thanks for a great stay.

Three guys who were celebrating a big birthday decided to take a trip to Ireland ... visit some pubs, listen to great Irish music, see the lush Irish countryside and play some golf was our plan. Thanks to Kathleen and her Country House, it happened! Planning to stay only one night, she talked us into 3 ... great advice. The three of us have traveled the U.S. extensively and I've been abroad many times. This is one great stop and I assure you that from the ambiance of the reception area to the library and the dining room, you will be pleased with how comfortable Kathleen's place is. And, you need to meet Kathleen to get a good dose of Irish pride and hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay here tremendously and wish that we had more time to stay! Our travels took us on a one week (too short) trip staying in a new B&B at each stop. Kathleen's was our most enjoyable experience. The service is impeccable from Kathleen's warm welcome, to great directions and advice, local information, or just a great conversation. The rooms were clean and spacious, the common areas wonderfully decorated with thoughtful amenities and breakfast cooked to order! We really felt a part of the family in Kathleen's Country House and the location is just fantastic! Make sure you have at least three days here, although Kathleen's advice allowed us to make the most out of two.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to ask anything politely (:

We spent one night at Kathleen's Country House. Kathleen was very friendly and an amazing wealth of knowledge on the area. She asked a few questions and then quickly pointed out what she thought would be the highlights for us. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was cooked to order and very nice.
