We had a fun ride with Danny and his horse Joey to the waterfall outside Muckross /Killarney National park. . Very lush surrounding the path to fall. Easy walk

This waterfall is quintessentially Irish. You won’t be wanting for the color green! Bring your camera and be prepared to be tranquilized in the most refreshing way.

A beautiful site with an easy hike to the falls. The trail after the falls is somewhat intense, only to offer a distant view of a lake. The people on the trail were quite friendly. Lots of moss on the trees which felt like you were truly in the “shire”. Parking is limited however.

Definitely worth the visit if you are already planning some time in the National Park. I wouldn’t go just for this waterfall, it’s pretty small. There are stairs by the waterfall that lead to a good view of the lakes. I did not go up the entire way because I was wearing shoes with little traction. Be prepared if you’re interested in that because the stairs are uneven and made of stones.

We are told that in the summer the water fall can be a trickle. We were there in March after heavy rains, and snow, and it was a cascading water fall. Fabulous! We even sprung for the horse and carriage ride from the Muckross House to the Waterfall, which added to the fun.
