Dropped along to Kilkenny on my way home from a hospital visit in Dublin. It was my birthday so I wanted something nice for dinner. I found it.
The premises are lovely , with lots of interesting pieces on the walls and a lot of interesting things filling the plates. The portion sizes are for the hungry. My fried brie starter would have fed me without any back up whatsoever.
The owner who greeted us was interesting and friendly, with a great line in chat without being intrusive. It was overall a very enjoyable experience, not the greatest food I ever ate, but more than OK. I felt very comfortable here and will happily return any time I am in Kilkenny.
