We stumbled on this lovely Italian restaurant. We thought in mid-February that getting a table for two anywhere in Westport town wouldn't be a problem, not true! Everywhere was booked, including this place but the lovely host put us in the upstairs room with a warning that no-one ever wants to be seated there. We didn't care, we were hungry. A couple of proseccos later and the dreaded upstairs room was full, we chose from the varied menu a HUGE platter of smoked fish and also the beef carpaccio, both lovely. Portions are big. We had pasta/gnocchi mains and both again were delicious and plentiful. I had dessert which was fine but not as good as rest. By then, we were chatting away to all our fellow upstairs diners, a mix of locals and blow-ins from all over, we stayed on after dinner chatting away. Really good night, lots of fun and made so by the charming staff. I loved this place and it was an unexpected evening of craic and lovely food, will return for sure
