“Beautiful location & house”
Reviewed 12 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We came out to Westport as a large family to attend a wedding and found the house was accommodating and well kept. Bernadette is a great host who even left some provisions due to our late night arrival. The house is lovely and airy with plenty of room, fantastic views in the garden and the close proximity to wonderful Wesport town centre. Look forward to going again!

“What a view”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This was definitely a property that had lots of rooms with a view! No matter what window you looked out, there was nothing but beautiful countryside. The house is situated about 8 miles out of Westport town, so transport is a must. There is a petrol stations about 4 miles away, so it is handy to get some supplies when needed. Found the owners very warm people who seem at ease talking to anyone. We had 4 children with us, so the large garden with the slide and swings were a huge plus. The house itself was huge, with bedrooms upstairs and down. Only the children's room didn't have its own bathroom. There was even a toilet upstairs for the upstairs living area. Would really recommend this property to anyone that has a large family or likes going on holidays with extended family and friends.

Everything was perfect. My sister and her family joined us on holiday here making it a group of 10 (4 adults and 6 children). The house was more than big enough with loads of toilets and bathrooms to make it even easier! Bernadette & her family were so welcoming and helpful. Surrounding views spectacular, local amenities brilliant. Definitely recommend it!

“Super house, beautiful location, great value...& wonderful hosts”

Surrounded by mountains, but just outside Westport (10mins on main road to Clifden), our party was really pleased with this property, and more especially, our hosts.
Made to feel most welcome by Bernadette and Pat with excellent starter pack, including fresh scones and homemade scones...not to mention, the eggs, and sausages and bacon! They helped as local guides on where to go and what to do; and then finally, provided taxi-service as well.
House is modern and spacious and very comfortable, and with the five large bedrooms can accommodate a good group or two families(Tardis).Few minor snags with some of the finishing but overall great house. Good location for discovering Mayo & Connemarra, especially Clew Bay, Croagh Patrick & Achill Island...and, of course, the "craich"!
