I went with a group playing golf last weekend. We booked the Coach Lane based on the advice received from one of the group.
We booked the restaurant for approx. 8.00pm. As with all large groups we got delayed and there was no problem in delaying dinner for another hour.
In the group there were 16 people in total. We arrived at approx. 9.00pm and had a few drinks before we started.
I was really surprised at the size of the premises. There were three floors. The building has lots of old brickwork and the lighting was very relaxing. The atmosphere in the place was very welcoming. All the staff were excellent and knew exactly what they were doing. Alan in particular was a gentleman.
We all ordered our food together. and we were all served at the same time. The food presentation was excellent as was the service.
I had Duck which was superb, some of my friends had the Seafood platter, Rack of Lamb and the Lamb Shank, all were excellent. We stayed for a few more drinks before heading to another pub. There were no complaints on the night and all the group spoke very highly about the place.
I have no problem in highly recommending The Coach Lane and I hope to be back in a few weeks with the wife. It has to be the best in Sligo.
