We spent the weekend visiting friends in Peterborough.

Saturday night our friends booked a night @ the dogs. As we live in Bristol this was a new experience for us as we don’t have a dog track in our city.

There were 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Our friends had a voucher which gave us access to the track a drink, meal and race program.

Great value for money. We all had a pleasant evening lots of laughs and few wins too!

The kids enjoyed watch the dogs and getting the chance to get up close to them after each race.

A really great way to spend a few hours with family and friends.

On our next trip to Peterborough we will definitely return to watch the dogs!

Went here whilst visiting some friends in the area for a late birthday meal. This is the second time we have been here and both visits have been very good from the time we got there to the end. The service was good, everyone we wanted to ask a question about the menu it was done it a friendly manner. Me and my wife cannot believe how many families are catered for.

We came to celebrate our sons birthday with him his Girlfriend 2 kids and Mother in law to be . We had teh voucher deal entry of 4 quid for adults and 3 quid for kids which all included meals. All in all a great night out good food and we made a little profit on the betting. All staff with exception of one were friendly chatty and couldn't do enough. So sadly you lost a star for that member of staff who was the exception to the rule. This was a cleaner who i asked the where abouts of the cash machine and sadly her English was not very good and she waved her arms in the direction of the reception. So i had to go to teh reception desk to ask the actual location. Later on Mother in law to be had paused to watch a race while eating her jacket potato and same cleaner came up with a black bag said @finished' and started to remove the potato before waiting for an answer - no apology was given - shame as this member of staff let down the rest - we will be back

Well my first time, four of us purchase a Gold meal ticket about £29 each, for this we got a 4 course meal, good seat by the track, bucks fizz or orange squash on arrival and a hot drink at the end of the night...so what did I think of it? was bloody marvellous! Was not expecting food to be good but it was excellent, paid around an extra £5 as I wanted fillet steak, was cooked to a perfect medium rare, tasty and tender. All the food was great, hot chocolate at the end of the night was great, coffees I was told were only just warm...so that's the only complaint. Table service from start to finish, great friendly staff as well as the tote lady. Drinks were reasonable....but no real ale! ah well!!!!
Will I go back? oh yes..... I think I got my ticket value in food alone

We visited on St Patricks Day as a family of 4. We've been several times in the past, and love eating in the restaurant whilst watching the dog racing and having bets taken at the table - great concept. This time was absolutely awful.
The seating area was cold, so cold that we had little fan heaters plugged in to help. The food choice wasn't great, the majority of the food came out cold. The "fillet steak" my daughter had was mainly fat. The service was slow and plates were piled up next to us from the 3 tables in our vacinity - the staff kept saying "pot wash is full". The inevitable call to an Assistant Manager was made - he was very young and just kept offering more drinks (we didn't want more drinks). He then got the "Big" Manager called Mark who was petty about what courses were good, what courses were not, the stack of plates, the heating, etc. He was truly obnoxious and couldn't really care less about our evening. He wrote off our bar bill (wow) and said he'd look after us on our next visit - we're in no rush to go back! The restaurant needs more, better trained, staff. The menu and food needs a re-think - it's a bit like a bad school dinner. The managers need to "step up" and sort out the running of the place. I'm quite happy to pay the full bill, just make the food and service live up to it. Thank you.
