Description: We are a free house pub that is owned by a family living in the village of Birstwith, set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dale of Nidderdale. Popular with walkers and others who want to experience the spectacular Yorkshire scenery, our location provides excellent access to the Yorkshire Dales and the spa town of Harrogate and its famous tea rooms. As well as location we aim to delight our visitors with our first class food, drinks, service and accommodation. Our Food Our experienced chefs have justifiably gained a great reputation for delivering consistently good quality food. Our menu changes regularly but will always include the true English pub classics as well as some a la carte dishes to tempt every palate. We pride ourselves on locally sourcing our food, using local butchers, fishmongers and other food producers wherever possible. We grow a selection of our own herbs and vegetable in summer. Vegetarians are well catered for and all our sauces are gluten free, we are more than happy to cater for any specific dietary requirements. Our Drinks Our selection of drinks is also something of which we're proud. We provide a range of Cask Marque accredited Real Ales from many of the excellent local breweries including Black Sheep, Copper Dragon, Daleside, Ilkley, Rudgate, York as well as the once local Tetleys. To compliment these we offer several Lagers and Ciders in both bottled and draught forms as well as the ever popular Guinness. If you're a fan of wine you need not fear as we provide quality wines at reasonable prices both "by the glass" and "by the bottle". We also carry a large selection of spirits, whiskeys and liqueurs. Our Rooms We have four fantastic guest bedrooms located on the first floor of the main pub building and a two bedroom accessibility suite located on the ground floor in a separate annex to the pub. All the rooms are furnished with traditional Oak furniture, comfortable beds and luxury bathrooms, we are certain you will enjoy staying with us. Our rooms include all the comforts you would expect - tea and coffee making facilities, IPod/IPhone docking station/alarm clock, free Internet access and flat screen freesat TV. We are located just 5 miles from Harrogate and have free on-site parking facilities. With the added benefit of our bar and restaurant downstairs and a full English breakfast to prepare you for the day we are the perfect base for holiday breaks of business trips.

Decided to go out today as we live near Skipton and wanted a little trip out.
It was a bit of a "spur of the moment" thing.. and decided to look at trip advisor as we thought a trip out Harrogate way would be nice.. Our chosen location was the Station Hotel.
What a lovely location.
The staff on entering were very welcoming.. the decoration is first class!
Unfortunately we hadn't booked a table (probably should've done due to it being Easter day)..
Rather than turn us away they managed to fit us in. Brilliant!!
We had the two course menu which consisted of many dishes.
The food was fantastic! The portions were also very good.
We had the Pork with crackling ,roast potatoes, veg and also fish and chips. Yummy!
The puddings were delicious.. Sticky toffee pudding with bourbon ice cream, Dark chocolate and rasberry brownie, ice cream trio, and treacle tart with ice cream.
We'll definitely be returning again.
Lovely helpful staff and had the time to speak to us about our day.

Thank you from the Jenkins family.

Great choice of food and always freshly served. Must have eaten here over 30 times and never a bad experience. What excellent value, and the staff do remember faces and have a kind word for you. Relaxing, enjoyable and fingers crossed it keeps this up. One of our favourite places to eat.

Staying in Harrogate, we took a drive out for a nice pub dinner. Kidneys, prawn cocktail, lamb and pies.

It was all great and the rice pudding was a good finish!
All in all a cosy restaurant in a pretty pub with lovely staff.

Try it!

Had family visiting so popped down for dinner. Food as always was excellent. The fish and chips are the best in the area. One of us had steak - done to perfection.

Always consistently good here. Glad it’s my local pub!

As we had an appointment in the area I had researched local pubs for lunch. What a lovely pub, with the most pleasant and friendly landlord and waitress. The 2 course menu was excellent, I had a generous prawn cocktail and the salmon fillet, and my husband had the Mac n Cheese off the main menu. Dog and child friendly in the bar rooms, separate dining rooms if you prefer them. If we are in the area again, we will definitely return.
