My daughter and fiancée love this place so decided a lunch with them at Timberlakes was a must. We weren't disappointed as a lovely relaxed environment and equally lovely staff who were very helpful and friendly. We all had variations of the Sunday roast and was delicious and no room for starters or desserts. Will definitely be back as a real find.

We went to the Timberlake's Bistro after a long hike. All we needed was good hearty food and that's what we got. An amazing experience and it was exactly what we needed. As a group of 5, we weren't sure we could get in as we hadn't prebooked, not only did they fit us in, I couldn't have asked for a better service.

I had the Cottage pie, which was exquisite, my friend ordered a seafood dish(a special for the day and which a stole a piece from); which was divine and another friend got the steak which looked scrumptious. Definitely going back the next time I'm in Harrogate.

The Bouillabaisse was one of the best I have ever had, it reminded me of being back in the South of France, the depth of flavour and seasoning was outstanding, obviously it was made from a fish stock that had been reduced to perfection. The fish (prawns, scallops and mussels) were perfectly cooked (not over coked) A classic dish with a slight twist as it was served with a roulille salty herb croutons, pumpkin seed bread and an extra jug of the Bouillabaisse for good measure.

An unusual dish for the main but wow it really worked, this dish showed great imagination and confidence from the chef to put these flavours and textures together. The dish was a Squid Bourginion. The classic stock of the Bourginion was made with quality Burgundy, just enough garlic and classic ingredients of carrot and mushrooms. The squid had obviously been marinated in the stock as it was just exquisite. Velvety creamed potato complimented so well. A classic dish with a great twist.

On an overnight stay in Harrogate we were surrounded by a choice of chain restaurants such as Jamie's and Zizzi. We wanted to try a local place and stumbled upon Timberlakes. The menu for meat eaters was incredible but for vegetarians it is the typical choice of pasta or risotto. Opting for the butternut squash risotto and Toulouse sausages, the staff were helpful and incredibly friendly ( especially the petit lady with dark hair in a bob who made our visit).
The wine was very good and the sausages very good. The risotto was delicious with my only complaint being that the butternut squash was undercooked, although the food was piping hot. The sticky toffee pudding was good but had a crispy edge.
It's a tiny place but it had such a lovely feel to it and the waitress who served us had excellent customer service skills. I would certainly recommend it.

We came across Timberlakes by chance as we wandered around the Montpelier area of Harrogate. We just wanted some soup as had had such a huge meal the night before. We ordered French onion soup, which was authentic and delicious accompanied with home made bread. The setting is French rustic and the service was excellent. If we hadn't booked other places to eat in the evening we would definitely tried to get a table. Would definitely recommend!
