Owner description: Valley Gardens is a beautiful Park in Low Harrogate, perfect for a relaxed stroll or for a family day out. It is an English Heritage Grade II Listed Garden covering 17 acres of formal gardens, leisure activities and woodland. Historical buildings and the semi-covered Colonades sit nestled amongst a wide variety of shrub, flower and herbaceous beds. The adventure play area is immensely popular especially during the summer season when the paddling pool is a refreshing way to cool down. There are a wide range of sporting activities to try during your visit including; tennis, crazy golf, table tennis, disc golf, pitch and putt as well as a skatepark. For music lovers, band concerts take place on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer.

I enjoyed a lovely spring morning walk in Valley Gardens. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to do the Pine Walk. It’s on my list for my next visit. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a cold, windy day so not too many others around. We could imagine people coming to take the waters and enjoyed seeing the original buildings. Some interesting plantings and trees and sculptures.

A beautiful space to walk around and to forget you are in a town centre.

Lots of families and people enjoying the well kept gardens.

The cafe in the gardens sells a variety of drinks and snacks which are reasonably priced.

If you want to escape the shops and relax this is great place to visit without having to venture far.

Visited in a dry Sunday morning when plenty of people were visiting I imagine it gets very busy in the summer months

The gardens are in the heart of Harrogate. There’s a huge variety of plants to admire, a little brook, model boating lake, children’s park and a little cafe. There’s plenty of benches to sit and watch the world go by. In the winter it can be a bit stark but the rest of the year it’s beautiful.

Took the Opportunity to go to Harrogate as my Spouse was working there in the morning doing training
So went for a walk. Lovely to see all the crocus , bluebells and snowdrops out
Much prettier in summer when i full bloom but worth a visit
