For lunch the Harrington Arms don't disappoint. Well for any meal they don't disappoint. Today wow. I had the steak n ale pie, bear in mind I don't eat steak, but this and has been a regular for me as the the steak melts in your mouth, no fat nor gristle and falls apart.

This place has food that would seem a little expensive, but you pay for excellent quality, taste and quantity.

I whole heartedly recommend this place every day and all day. ENJOY

Great traditional Sunday lunch, the lamb was delicious. A bit of struggle around the packed bar whilst your waiting for your table, but a very enjoyable lunch. We will certainly come again. Make sure you book, it's a seriously popular place!

Call in here quite frequently after walking the dog. Garden area is great but dogs are not allowed inside, which means when weather is wet or cold we cannot use this pub. One of the few pubs in this area that does not allow dogs inside. Good range of beers.

I must say that I feel quite puzzled by your post.
I just can't see how it represents a review.
It's totally unfair that You have marked us as "average" as a result of a point of policy, that being that we don't allow dogs in the pub??
Normally reviewers are giving us a scare based on things like; service, food quality, prices, choice, etc etc.
But never the less a good choice of beers.....

We used to eat here regularly but haven't been for quite a while. We booked in advance for a family Sunday lunch, nice selection of traditional starters, then choice of three different roasted meats (beef, lamb or turkey) plus grilled salmon, steak and kidney pie or chicken & black pudding in a mustard sauce, oh and a veggie strudel.

All meals were served piping hot on very hot plates, all accompanied by a selection of nicely cooked vegetables which included cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots and cabbage. Portions were very generous and consequently none of us could manage a dessert. We will definitely not be leaving it too long before we return.
