We had our wedding at the Stuart Hotel on 7th September 2018 and the service was excellent the staff bent over backwards to take care of our needs the room was well decorated and clean and the wedding meal was excellent generally can't fault the hotel in anyway

We would throughly recommend the Stuart Hotel for weddings

We was welcomed and reception. The Reception area was very clean and fresh.
When we checked in we was asked if we needed help with our bags. When we got to the room it was very clean however the bed was next to the door and the noise from the corridor was very loud, also the door for the cleaners was opposite and I was worried that when they started to clean they would be noisy. I knew that I wasn’t going to get a good nights sleep.
I went back down to reception and expressed my concern Gemma was a little abrupt and explained that they only had one room for both night left and it was an executive room. We was shown the room which was very nice but they wanted £40 more. When I asked her if there was anything she could do with the price as it was a little steep she laughed and said no and my manager won’t move on the price she will be in at 5pm. We waited for the manager and explained our concern and she found us another room which was an upgrade the our original room that Gemma had said there was no rooms and said we could take a look. When we took a look the room was great, lots of room and a fridge which was a nice added extra too.
When we accepted the manager gave us the upgrade for free we was shocked and grateful.
The room had free WiFi , tea/coffee facilities and a Fridge.
Breakfast- was really nice you have lots of options to choose from.
The continental breakfast was lovely and you have the choice to order a full English too which tasted good.
Bar- polite staff and nice to had a drink before going out. The bar was not manned all the time as they had a staff member who called in sick so when we wanted a drink we had to go to reception to let them know then someone would come over to serve us.
The operations manager was very pleasant he went out of his way to open the door for us when we had bags and also acknowledged us in the morning which was a nice.
All in all I’m very shocked that the hotel is rated a 3 star. It’s a very clean and tidy hotel and very good location with intu shopping centre just a five minute walk away and very close to the town centre.

Stayed here for one night with my partner. Rooms are clean and comfortable but a little small. Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was a bit expensive but overall ok. Derby it’s self is quite small and not much to do to be honest.

We decided to get away for a night before the end of the school holidays but needed a bargain. For £69 we got dinner bed and breakfast for 2 with a glass of wine. We done these before and our expectations are usually low. Not here the staff were just lovely and couldn’t be more helpful and friendly and our meal was genuinely lovely. A real bargain with excellent service. We couldn’t have been happier.

Stayed one night, it was clean but the room was small, pillows and duvet were on the well loved side and could do with refreshing, but slept ok. Parking was free but the car park was busy. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good but nothing to write home about. Would recommend for a cheap clean stay
