Decided on having cod with chips and my wife chose rock salmon and chips. Both the fish dishes were excellent, especially the rock. However the chips left a lot to be desired, although ample, they tasted as though they'd been sitting in the warming tray a while.
Will continue to use this reliable establishment but hope for better quality chips in the future.

Just had great fish and chips from the Fish Plaice in Tilgate. Well done for that and for being open during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Just had a takeaway. Used many times before, rock had more batter than fish and chicken shish had no sauce crap salad and flavourless. Shame prices have risen and standards lowered.

This is the only fish shop I visit and have never had a bad meal here. The portions are generous and the fish is always fresh. There is a wide selection of other options and children's meal are provided.
