Not the first time we've visited this cosy intimate restaurant venue, but as usual the welcome was very warm, friendly and professional. Very good selection on the dinner menu, my wife choosing Sea Bass for main course and me, the duck breast. Both of these were cooked superbly with an accompaniment of tasty vegetables. Having also had a stater, neither of us could manage a desert which was a great pity as I was severely tempted by the warm cherries and ice-cream! not the cheapest restaurant in Solihull, but nevertheless very good value for a most enjoyable eating experience and we would highly recommend.

Having cycled past here many a time, decided it was time to actually stop! Arranged to meet some close family who had eaten here before and said how nice it was. Well.....I couldn't have agreed more. From the moment we arrived and the door was opened for us, until we were handed our coats on the way out, the service and ambience was lovely.Attentive staff (without being pushy) and a relaxing atmosphere added to the evening. The menu was well thought out and covered all tastes (including vegetarian) and the food was freshly cooked and well presented. Definitely need a return visit here!

We visited "Longfellows" on Sunday 27th August, we had booked for Lunch and as it was a lovely day we decided to eat outside in their pretty rear garden. We started with Garlic mushrooms and the Cod fish cake, both were well cooked and presented, for mains we had one beef and one Moroccan Lamb, again both were well cooked and seasoned, with accompanying roast potatoes, carrots and Cauliflower cheese, with made it a rather "large" Sunday Lunch. Would recommended and will re visit.

Also the food was unacceptablily overcooked and the taste of food is average, totally disappointed. I rather drive further for better food. My partner and I had enough of experience of fine food to recognize what we are expecting for.
Food was totally overrated by the locals!

In addition to the above ,a very Rude elderly lady with poor customer service skills.

To celebrate my wife and mother in law's birthdays we arranged a meal for 16 people. My wife found this lovely family run restaurant. We knew that they had a large party in for a meal in late afternoon so thought that might affect our experience. We need not have worried. The service was first class and the food was excellent. All of our guests were most complimentary about the food and service and several have told us that they will be going back again. Another bonus is a large covered garden area at the rear with gas heaters. We had our own room with no extra charges and the cost of the food and wine for a city restaurant was reasonable. All in all a little gem. Try it and see.
