Good hotel in a good location for exploring, the room was spacious and clean. Glad there was Swimming pool and it was easy to manage with kids.
Good location to explore the area.
Breakfast ok, plenty of selection in a large dinning room.

Stayed here for 3 nights with friends and felt it was a good mid range hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Standard of cleanliness throughout hotel excellent. Breakfast was good with expansive choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Leisure facilities also very good and hotel very close to motorway so easy to find.

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking river as these are much quieter. Rooms to front are closer to very busy road .

This hotel is newly renovated after being flooded a few years ago. Coming in to my room, I wanted to hang my shirts up with the result that the door handle fell off. Looking at the bed, they had forgot to install a lamp on the right hand side of the bed. There are paint stains on the floor in the bed room. Please by all means see my photos if you don't believe me.

Service in the bar is poor. The breakfast is mediocre. Not sure why you would stay here unless you want to collect IHG points.

Dear Reslimpan,

Thank you for your time in writing a review of your recent stay. We were indeed flooded last December and had extensive renovations, the hotel reopened in June 2016. I am sorry that you felt it necessary to take photos of the poor workmanship and I would be very happy to speak with you further regarding this should you wish to contact me direct.

On a coach trip we stayed her for one night. The hotel was very good. They were prepared for all the coach party with their room key cards, The lift was a good size. The dinner and breakfast were self service with a good choice of food, both hot and cold. the barman was a good laugh and service was good. The reception desk was most helpful

We have visited this hotel on several occasions, it has recently had a revamp after serious flooding. It looks very sleek now and has certainly been freshened up. We had a great room, very large and always ask for a river side room as there is more road noise on the other side of the hotel. We enjoyed a very reasonable bar meal on the 1st night but the same meal we had 2 days later was not as good. Also there is no separate restaurant menu, just a bar menu which can be eaten in the bar or restaurant. The Wifi is free to rewards IHG members but the free Wifi is very slow. There is a reasonable pool and gym and it is very handy when you get of the boat at midnight in Heysham as it is only a 10 minute drive to the hotel. The turn onto the motorway is very close and you can be up in the Lake District within half an hour.

Room Tip: Ask for a riverside room if you don't like road noise.
