The Court
Reviewed 18 September 2013

We stayed for three nights at the Court & it was something we will never forget!!

Although the house is huge, it feels familiar.. like you've been there before. From the moment we stepped into the house we felt at home. It feels nice and cozy.
There are lots of beautiful old pictures and antique furniture. It's almost like a museum, walking through history (in a positive way!!). It's a house packed with history and when you're interested there is enough information.

About the room and the house:
We stayed in the Lady Juliana Suite. The room was grand, everything about it was great and the view was amazing. There was an en suite bathroom, a TV, coffee and tea facilities, toiletries, hairdryer etc... It didn't feel like an hotel but if it was it would have been a 4 star hotel!!

HIGHLY recommended!! But be aware... from the moment you step in you feel at home & you (may) never want to leave.. so don't say we haven't warned you ;)

Room Tip: Book the Lady Juliana Suite (1st floor) you won't regret it!

We have just had a one night stay here while visiting friends. The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful and it really doesn't feel like a regular bed and breakfast. Breakfast is plentiful and more than enough to set you up for the day and lasts you easily through to a late lunch! Dog friendly too and I must say my Yorkie adored playing chase in the grounds with the little black pug who lives on the premises. The court owner, Jane, is extremely helpful and friendly as are the two staff helping. All in all if you like modern run of the mill bed and breakfast this isn't for you but if you love something a bit different with a perfect mix of impressive historic country home but with a warm and relaxing atmosphere then this is definitely the place to stay.

Thankful that we booked this as our first night in England, it was such a quiet, reasonably priced and lovely place to stay. If only we didn't have six full days of walking ahead of us we would have stayed another night! No ensuite was no problem as we were the only guests. We would stay again and highly recommend this B&B to others visiting this beautiful little town.

Jane's beautiful English walled garden is not over looked, but looks over historic Alms Houses, (built by the family, as was much of Chipping Campden) Saint James Church, (where some of the family's ancestors are buried), and the wonderful Banqueting Halls, East and West (once owned by the family and now owned by the Landmark Trust and available for hire) To sit in this garden and look at the gems of Chipping Campden without having to move a muscle other than to sip coffee or wine, which ever you prefer or gently turn the Sunday papers while soaking up history. What a joy! The rooms and breakfast are what you would expect staying at a real English country home, excellent.

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous and historic home. Very comfortable and welcoming, the breakfast was brilliant, the outlook lovely, and Chipping Campden a jewel in the Cotswolds. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Room Tip: The best was the biggest and only £70!
