Very interesting decor and general feel to the restaurant. We went for lunch on a Saturday and it was less than half full but that was ok. The general feel was good but music was a little loud for a lunchtime (we're a reasonably young couple!). We were expecting great things being from Leeds and fans of Man behind the curtain.

However we felt very rushed throughout the meal as we had been expecting a leisurely lunch and weren't offered any drinks apart from those at the beginning of the meal. They didn't seem to know what a cortado was and brought us a macchiato with no explanation until prompted as to why they had brought something different.

Wine was good but the 'sommelier' didn't really provide any advice or guidance when asked - apparently all of the wines go with all of the dishes.

The food was very good and imaginative although as previously mentioned in Other reviews, some were only lukewarm.

Such a shame the service was so lacking as the food and environment are both very good, this could be a much better experience.

Wow where to start!! Arrived to what felt like a hotel lobby, not knowing what was going on! No normal beers or drinks like vodka and coke just a menu of awful cocktails. Ordered Pina Colada which tasted disgusting and came in 1/2 pint glass! Shown our table in the most weird room with Swedish style furniture and it was freezing (we kept our coats on the entire dinner) with aircon blowing on us despite saying how cold it was. The waitress said there was a problem with aircon yet they were still happy to charge us when we had to sit uncomfortable! Food was hit and miss, mostly cold or luke warm despite asking and being told some should be hot or told some should be chilled and those were the warm ones! Sat half night without a drink, and every table had empty glasses and never any service and what service their was seemed to be by junior staff with no experience of working in a good restaurant and zero signs of a manager. Food was very slow to arrive and left so hungry we've walked over road after leaving to get food from bar! They asked when I booked and told them it was my girlfriends birthday yet not sure purpose of question as they did zero for this notification! Even went toilet and toilet roll holder fell of wall!! Food, service, restaurant and pricing all not worth 1 star! Won't return and only feel stupid for booking in first place. This could be an amazing restaurant yet so far from it and with its problems is the worst!!!

We booked this restaurant months in advance as we'd eaten at the Man Behind the Curtain previously. On entrance we had a cocktail each which were beautiful, I would recommend the apple cocktail. We were told beforehand that the food is served quite quickly but we could ask for a break. The food was gorgeous the mix of flavours and ingredients is so intense. You must be open minded when visiting this restaurant and be willing to experience new tastes and be open minded to the overall experience.
We visited this restaurant for my husbands birthday and he was thrilled with the evening! Yes it is expensive and yes it is a completely different experience but it is extremely worth it!

Eat at The Rabbit In The Moon on Saturday evening as a birthday treat. Was looking forward to this so much having booked it many months in advance and wasn't disappointed. What these guys do with the food and ingredients is just amazing. The courses (all 17) are served quickly but with sufficient time in between and the waiting staff take time to explain each and every one and even suggest how to eat them!. An added bonus for us was that we got to meet Michael O'Hare as well and so was the perfect evening. This is high end dining, so yes it is expensive but worth every penny.

Went there with the girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon, and had the half moon taster menu - 10 dishes instead of 15. We were expecting great things, knowing the background of the restaurant and chef. The welcome was nice enough, and the place/location was pretty contemporary and stylish I felt. Cocktails to start was alright. Food however was not what we expected from a restaurant of this calibre. Perhaps our expectations were too high - again comparing it to our magical experience at L'enclume - but even so I'd rate Manchester House more highly. The beef wagyu was perhaps the best of the pick, the rest nothing special.

I'd still say go for a taste, unfortunately we'll not be returning.
