Can't really imagine what this building is like from the inside. A real gem of neo-Gothic architecture that's rather out of place on Deansgate in the Spinningfields area.

This is the most impressive library I have seen so much more than books alone. The old building is an amazing inspirational place, I imagine studying here would be scheduled a pleasures

What an amazing place this is. Fabulous architecture from 1900s melded with a modern (2000s) extension. The reading rooms have a wonderful atmosphere and it was great to see at least one student working there. Manchester should be proud of its library built in memory of John Rylands.
