I stayed one night for work. I initially went to the other Ibis on Portland Street by mistake - there are 2 of them. I saw 2 other people make the same mistake.
The foyer was quite swanky - modern, warehouse style. Bed was large and comfortable. Shower good. Very clean.
We ate in the hotel - this was ok, but the next day, I went outside and turned a corner and there was Chinatown!
Breakfast was cereals and a cooked breakfast - it was better than a breakfast box!
I would stay again for work but prefer something a little more for myself.

Clean and fresh. Rooms are a bit small but very clean and nice. Breakfast is good and the bar actually had some local beer. Football shown on screen in restaurant. Would recommend this as a hotel for a weekend trip.

Standard ibis rooms with a comfortable bed and a walk in shower. The breakfast is excellent and worth the £8.95. Snack bar serves quality food at a very good price. Television is tiny though! A proper size one and would have been a 5.

Stayed here for 2 nights . Very smart hotel , nicely decorated. Very safe , you need room key to enter hotel late at night also to use the lift. Rooms very stylish but basic . Beds comfy. Hotel is in central Manchester so can be noisy but this didn’t effect my night sleep , but if it does they do provide earplugs in room. Complimentary WiFi is good. Only down side in our room (335) was the shower pressure was so weak , and the toilet flush was weak. Our friends stayed also but their room never had this issue.
I would definitely stay here again .

Wanted to stay in Manchester following the Manchester Derby (less said about the score) Good value for money given the fact it was weekend and football was on compared to other hotels in the area.
Arrived early and met by two members of staff who very quickly found the booking, offered us early check in which we declined but did store our bag for later. Also offered breakfast which wasn't included in the price and enquired if we required a taxi for our onward journey. Both very friendly and made us very welcome.
When we did check in the room was lovely, queen size bed, adequate furniture in the room and great bathroom facilities. Was dreading the night, but to our surprise there was very little noise from inside or outside the hotel.
The location is great for central Manchester, being at the Oxford Road end of Portland Street, every where was very walkable. The tram stop at St Peters Square was 2-3 minutes walk behind the hotel
Would definitely stay again
