We stayed in a family room for three nights in August. The check in staff were extremely friendly and professional. The room was a family room and was not especially large but it was adequate however the room was downstairs and accessible by stairs so not ideal with prams and luggage. The room and beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was basic but adequate. The fresh fruit for breakfast was I suspect canned but the breakfasts we ordered from the menu were nice. The pool and changing rooms were clean and spacious and the life guard was attentive so it felt very safe for children. Great location as a short walk to the tram into Manchester city and also a reasonable walk to the restaurants of Didabury. Well worth a stay.

Check in- Horrible experience. I checked in around 7pm. Owing to the busy leisure centre, all the staff were busy catering to the leisure centre customers. I waited for around 10 mins at the hotel check in area(only person in que) and eventually someone came forward to check me in. No apologies were offered.

Room- The room is not bad. However when you consider that I could have stayed in Hilton, Marriott or Raddison for an extra £10, it was not great at all. No wardrobe in the room and instead a horrible looking thing for hanging clothes. I didn't like the weird L shaped dimensions either.

Bathroom- excellent

Leisure facilities- the best thing about this place was it's leisure facilities. Absolutely amazing!

Bottom line is that for the amount I paid I do not feel that it was good value for money. I won't be staying at this hotel again.

My first stay at this hotel and couldn't fault it, staff great very friendly and helpful, hotel very clean and modern, room was small but spotlessly clean and newly refurbished, bed was very comfortable, bathroom great with a shower cubicle, good size TV, ironing board and iron provided in the room.

Room Tip: Couldn't fault room 216

If you stay in Room 316 don't expect your partner and you to get changed at the same time! I have never stayed in such a small room. But it and the bathroom are immaculately clean and modern - so that is a plus. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was poor - poor ingredients, poorly cooked. Not everything as advertised was available. But I didn't pay a lot - 132GBP for 2weekend nights (which may have been an error - but that's not my fault!)

Loved this place!
Awesome 24 hour gym and spa, all facilities free for guests.
Good room. Decent breakfast. Lots of parking, set in really nice green riverside grounds. Fair price. Very easy to get into the city from the nearby train station. Uber was about £12 back again later.

But what really made this place was the staff. James on reception was awesome, nothing was any bother.
We turned up at 11am and he managed to check us into a room 3 hours early. This really made our day.

We will be back!
