Excellent 100% vegetarian restaurant with almost everything on the menu being vegan or with the option of being veganised. Although we don't generally seek out 'mock meats' I was impressed with the selection available for diners who enjoy them and the full ingredients information on the website. We shared a tofu dish and stir fry vegetables with crispy noodles and black bean sauce, which were plentiful and delicious. Although there was the option to bring your own wine or beer, we really liked the fresh orange juice and jasmine tea. Service was good and afterwards we enjoyed a chat with the courteous and friendly staff.

Wow what an extensive vegetarian menu with most being suitable for vegans! The food is amazing, the mock meats realistic, and the different flavours really good too! We had a mixed platter, Cantonese spring rolls, and dumplings to start. We then shared crispy beef with Szechuan sauce, salt and pepper chilli prawns, fried rice with chicken skewers in satay sauce and kung po chicken. All vegan! All amazing! Dessert was a little disappointing as we ordered banana and pineapple fritters but they were soggy rather than crispy. All in all though a delicious meal! £4 corkage fee for 4 cans of lager and £3 for a bottle of wine.

Very clean toilets and attentive staff.

With usually having to choose from a very limited vegetarian section of the menu when we go out to eat, visiting the Lotus Kitchen left us spoiled for choice. How good to have the entire menu to select our meals from!
It was out first time here - and it won't be our last.
All of the food that we ordered was very very good, and I would have liked to try a few more things. What other people were eating looked delicious too.
Not cheap, but very enjoyable, so well worth the money.

As vegetarians it is a very rare treat to find a menu from which we can choose anything. We had a mixed starter and two delicious main courses with tofu and different vegetables. There is also an extensive menu of 'mock' meats, presumably soya products. Service was excellent, food came quickly, all in all a real find. NB you need to pay in cash only.

They say you can't have all three but they're wrong! Had a really nice lunch with the family. The lunchtime menu is a narrower range than the evening one but there was still plenty of choice [~12 dishes]. I am not a vegetarian but the fake chicken was very convincing and I think some vegetarians would struggle with how "meaty" it is.

Alas I am unlikely to be visiting again as there was a sign up saying that as of 2017/08/28 they will no longer be opening at lunchtimes. Seems like a bit of a shame as it's handily located if you've got an appointment at The Christie next door.

I am going to guess that they make a lot of their profit on the drinks as an Appletise was £3.10 for a little bottle.
