Due to a late cancellation of our first choice hotel, Neckermann booked us into this hotel. The revue consists of 3 parts:

Good: I would recommend the food (daily choice is great). The staff is very friendly and the dining areas are well kept up. A nice swimming pool. The rooms were good sized with a balcony

Moderate: The hotel is a bit run down on the outside as well as its surrounding buildings. The balcony was also a bit run down.

Poor: Wifi is only available in the lobby and the bar. Otherwise you need to use a cable and the connection was right-out terrible (slow). The Jacuzzis outside were not in use and neither was the babypool and this in high season summer.

This place looks (and smells) like a retirement home: it was quite surprising compared to the description details and pictures on the website!! Everything has been thought with practicality and easy clean in mind, not comfort! Therefore, yes, everywhere inside was clean. But, furniture and amenities are basic, and décor is with no soul. As an example, the mini fridge (not mini bar!) in the room is very convenient but so loud during the night because it has not been built in with sound proofing in the cupboard unit!
We had diner at the restaurant: lovely food and great service, but again the restaurant room was sterile with no soul, and it seems to be built for business functions, not for romantic meals!! Shame for the chef since his beautiful dishes would deserve a nice warming and inviting room.
The outside courtyard is a let down......resembles an inner council block of flats courtyard, and the rear entrance is badly lit when you come back after 11pm!
The good points are: cleanliness, practicality, great food at the restaurant, very quiet.
Sadly too expensive, and breakfast also!
Great for professional people, not for romantic weekends!!!!!!

Room tip: Great for business trips, not for romantic stays

We got in under an offer for 38€ per night. Fantastic for that price. Several walking/hiking paths along seafront. The only drawback was that shower took ages to heat up and was on a timer, so I had to repeatedly ouch a button for water. Still great value for travellers on a budget and for nature lovers.

Checking in and out was very smooth.Staying room 117 on the first floor means the benefit of a spacious bedroom with good bedding and of a tea pot on a tray.Lighting is convenient and bathroom is very clean.Breakfast buffet matches international standards.Located at 15 minutes from Quimper It's a very convenient place for seminars as I could experiment.

We stayed at the Quality inn for 2 nights while visiting friends.

The hotel is clean, check-in very smooth and the staff very friendly. We had booked a family room, which was located on the second floor of the main hotel building. The decor of the room, while not ultra modern, is clean and extremely spacious, with 2 bedrooms (2 single beds {up a stairs}), sitting room and main bedroom with a double and a single bed. Both the main bedroom and sitting room have balcony's (no table or chairs on them).

However, the one thing that lets this hotel down is the grounds, strangely not mentioned in many reviews. The hotel appears to have once utilised numerous "residence" style duplexes which now appear unoccupied/unused some in serious need of repair. These residences surround the hotel and due to their appearance really drag down the appearance of the hotel and give it a rundown feel (The main hotel is spotless). In addition, there are several other builds which appear to have been unused for some time all in a similar condition to the duplexes. Furthermore, the grass/flower beds around this area are over grown and look very shabby. All this combined makes you feel you are wondering around an abandoned hotel, until you arrive back at the main hotel.

The hotel boosts, basketball and tennis courts. The basketball courts have seen better days, the tennis courts appear playable.

However, If you do not venture out of the main hotel (past the pool) the above would not be an issue.

The pool area, was clean and well kept and contained a small Jacuzzi, although the kiddie pool was drained of water.

We did not try the breakfast, which was an additional EUR12.

There is an excellent beach nearby (approx 2km) {no lifeguard} and a short drive away there is a SuperU supermarket. The hotel is very central to several villages and towns worth visiting and therefore cannot be faulted on location.

So was I disappointed - Yes and No! The grounds bring down this hotel , no one wants to see over grown gardens, paths and abandoned buildings...while you lie on a pool lounger! However. the staff and main hotel are faultless. The large family rooms make it ideal for families and it will be hard to beat on price (especially in peak season)).
