We dined out seven nights in Paris, and this was hands down our best dinner. The food, service, decor, all combined to make a great evening. We first noticed that the tables were not packed tightly together like most Parisian restaurants. My wife stated that this was the nicest bathroom she had entered in Paris.
The service was impeccable. The menu was described nicely in English. Our food arrived simultaneously. The table was cleared of bread crumbs after each course. This was a fine dining experience.
Best of all, the food and wine was fantastic. After an amuse bouche of delicious chestnut soup. We had a Sancerre wine to accompany our meal. We shared a plate of oysters and a soft shell crab. Delicious. I had an wonderful sea bass while my wife enjoyed her chicken breast. (Yes, they specialize in seafood. But the chicken was also excellent.)
For dessert was enjoyed Peach Sabayon with Elderflower with decaf coffees. While the price point was higher than our other dinners in Paris, it was lower than a comparable dining experience in NY or Chicago. Le Vent d'Armor was a great choice in a crowded Parisian restaurant market.
