Description: L'Agape is fine dining establishment in the 17th district of Paris not far from the Arc de Triomphe. It is soberly decorated, discreet and comfortable with great attention to detail; pristine white table cloths, designer table ware, comfortable arm chairs, nothing has been missed out. There is a young and talented chef at the helm in the kitchen, using technique, taste and inspiration to produce traditional French dishes with a modern twist. All products are bought direct from the producers and are chosen with care. Try the asparagus from the Vaucluse region or the local lamb served with aubergine, there is also pigeon with red endives or sole with morel mushrooms. An unusual option for dessert is the iced carrot and blood orange soup or the banana with rosemary ice cream. It goes without saying that the wine list is also of a high quality.

I went to l'Agapé for a long businnes lunch and I was positively impressed by their service, food and atmosphere.
We had a fixed menu that included amuse-bouches, starters, main and dessert and most of if was excellent - great ingredients, fantastic presentation, interesting and creative combinations of food.
Service was attentive, professional and efficient and the atmosphere was busy but chilled.
As contemporary French is not really my favourite food I cannot give it an 'excellent' - but if this is your thing go for it!

Posh room manned by totally female staff. The lunch prix fixe was a wonderful deal- however the ridiculously priced wine list detracted from it . Have eaten at a couple hundred starred places over 40 years of visiting France-- and i see people eating terrific food and drinking Beaujolais or Sauvignon Blanc.
At least in the states- some places get the notion that if wine prices are reasonable- THEY WILL SELL MORE WINE!!!!

I was really surprised with the quality of service and food in this one star Michelin restaurant but for the price of a normal good quality restaurant.

Excellent taste and presentation of meals.

Visiting Paris, it’s easy to be distracted by the big name 3 Michelin star restaurants. And while they are good...their prices can be somewhat removed from reality! Which is why L’Agape is such a great place. Everything you expect in terms of decor, service and attention to detail - combined with an amazing kitchen. And all at a much more bearable price. The pictures I’ve attached don’t do justice to what was an exceptional meal. Stand out dish were the frog legs. Perfectly cooked with an unusual but delicious combination of sauces. The sommelier also matched up the food with a great range of wine (by the glass) - which was also fairly priced. Don’t overlook this place!!!
