Stopped by in the morning to pick up some pastries and had two different varieties of apple pastry. Both were excellent and I will make it a point to go back again when in Paris. I've tried a lot of Parisian boulangeries over the years and this one is among the best.

Popular and known. Fresh and very good. Attentive staff and I get the impression they work hard. If in the area a good bakery to pick up your choice to eat and stroll.

The best bread I had during my one week stay in Paris. Despite being a small and humble place, it has a helpful staff and amazing croissants. I especially recommend the apple tarts.

Well known for its worldwide renowned bread, the round sourdough with the P, boldly emblazoned. It also has fantastic butter cookies, which you can buy according to your taste, from light to darker baking. Great nut breads and apple pastries. If you are lucky you might be given a tour of the oven. Frequented by both locals and tourists, always packed.

This is a little bread store in a busy part of Paris. It sells big beautiful loaves of country bread. The kind many restaurants use for a tartine or croque Monsieur. We bought a nearly 2 kg load for 9 euro. It keeps for 5 days. If you don't want a lot, you can buy by the slice.
