Correct choice for visiting Brussels. This small hotel is just off the shopping streets, only 10 minutes walk from the main square.
The staff greeted us nicely and breakfast was ok. There were cold it's and boiled eggs, apart from the typical rolls and coffee.

Hotel de l'Esperance is a family owned hotel. It may be low on stars, but is is high on quality. The air-conditioned rooms are of decent size and are very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the wireless works well. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is located in a quiet street, yet it is a minute away from Rue Muffetard with all its many boutiques and cafes. The room decor may not be to everybody's taste, but if you look for a centrally located hotel with all the amenities, a place to have a good night sleep after a long day seeing the Paris sights, look no further.

Room Tip: The lift was stops in between floors. Whichever room you choose, it seems you will have to walk up or down one flight of stairs.

Great location for this hotel. We stayed during a big heat wave but the AC was so great it was so relaxing to come back and have some down town before going back out. It's located very close to the Rue Mouffetard which is an awesome little street for shopping and eating. The folks at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly.
However, the wifi was very slow and we couldn't even have basic Facebook checking, which was too bad.
Overall, great place!

Quality 2 star hotel providing very clean, nicely appointed rooms and excellent service. The location is excellent with a 2 minute walk to Rue Mouffetard, great street for markets of all types, restaurants and retail stores. The hotel is also a 5 minute walk from the Censier-Daubenton metro stop. The breakfast is fine ( 9 euros) but could be better with an offer of hard boiled eggs. The staff is excellent from the front desk to chambermaids to the breakfast server.

Stayed here for a few nights. This location is one of my favorites. However, beware that Rue de Pascal is a small side street that runs below some of the larger boulevards, which will confound most GPS systems. It also is next to a sleazy massage parlor. However, it is very convenient to some fine restaurants and Paris parks.

The decor of the room was nice and it was a typical small Parisian hotel room. The elevator stops between floors so it is not handicap accessible. You have to either go up or down some stairs depending on which floor you choose.

The bathtub is nice and large, but you only have a handheld shower. Also, bring your own shampoo. The room is supplied with a showering gel which can be used for bodywash or shampoo, but it was not so good with my hair.

The breakfast was very meager for a continental breakfast. Also, the coffee that is served seems much too weak for me, which is surprising in France. A French roast coffee would be more appropriate.

My biggest complaint was the slow and unstable wifi, which made browsing web pages difficult. Forget about streaming movies or video content. Anyway, in Paris, you should not be watching too much TV or spending too much time in your hotel room, right?
