The hotel is a bit of a walk from the major tourist centers (we actually liked that) but close to the metro making traveling throughout Paris convenient. The multilingual staff was friendly and accommodating, especially after one of our group fell late night and got a scraped face, offering directions to the all night pharmacy and also some aid (in the form of vodka) to clean the cut.
Our top floor triple located at the end of the hall didn’t appear to have adjacent rooms and was incredibly quiet, decently sized by French standards (while smallish by American standards) with a surprisingly large bathroom. The shower tho, located in an area of a sloped ceiling, appeared normally sized but proved very challenging due to the ceiling requiring acrobatic contortionist skills to wash and rinse oneself adequately without slipping…..
Breakfast is indeed the highlight of the stay and being the first arrival every morning in the stone vaulted breakfast room, had it all to myself for that much needed quiet coffee time. The food was bountiful and delicious with a wide range of offerings including beverage selection. Gone seem to be the days when a hearty European breakfast as part of the stay is included automatically. This hotel, booked directly, includes breakfast with the room and definitely made the price even more appealing.More
