After doing a LOT of walking on our Europe trip, we were very sore by the time we reached Paris. So, I decided to check TripAdvisor for a good place to get a massage somewhat near our hotel. I came across the reviews here and thought we'd give it a try. Best idea!
We walked to find it one day to book an appointment. They couldn't get us in that afternoon, but were able to accomodate us for the next day. When we returned, we were greeted by pleasant staff who provided us with slippers to put on. We chose the scent of the oils they would use, they have five options. We both chose the Relaxation scent. We went downstairs with them to the rooms, we each had a separate room and masseuse.
The rooms were cozy, good temperature. The girl told me to change and lie down on the table. We each had a well deserved 90 minute massage. Both Japanese girls were fantastic, we get massages often so we are somewhat critical. Very pleased with the massages! Afterwards, they give you special 'tea of the day' to drink before you go which was nice to sort of come back to reality.
The ONLY small small small criticism I can make is that they use these timers in the rooms to watch the time (which I understand). However, they are not digital, and after ten minutes I really noticed the ticking. It was on the floor beside the bed. Once I heard it, I could hear nothing else. The music seemed to fade away and I was very aware that the time was ticking away and thinking about how it was probably almost over. I mentioned it to my husband after and he hadn't even noticed, not sure why I did. But it would be nice if they used digital clocks, or clocks that attach to their shirts that don't make noise, I think it would have enhanced my experience and let me just enjoy it rather than think about how much time was left.
Overall, a wonderful experience. We were so tempted to go back the next day for another, but it just didn't fit into our schedule. Highly recommend this place.
