We have lived and worked in Paris and also spent months in the city as tourists and have stayed in many different arrondissements over the years. This weekend at Max Hotel in the 14th was by far the highlight! We already knew the neighborhood was ideal, namely, not too touristy but with proximity to the tourist metro lines 4 and 6 as well as the RER B to CDG and Orly airports, walking distance to great shopping, restaurants, etc. From the moment we arrived at Max Hotel, we were warmly greeted by the staff at reception and our room was ready before 12 noon! (A phenomenon in France!) The room was quite large for Paris, spotlessly clean, modern, up to date, great air conditioning, amenities, very stylish. The lobby area was great with comfortable seating, reading materials, a guest computer with Internet access and the hotel even had a small outside private terrace which is unique. We will be staying here again! Merci!

Room Tip: All rooms have air conditioning. Rooms off the main Rue d'Alesia are quieter.

Stayed here on a business trip which we extended to include a weekend break in Paris, and were really happy with our choice. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from the outset (including a nervous phone call from the airport about a late arrival after our plane was delayed), and were really helpful throughout our stay. The hotel itself is very stylish: well-chosen furniture, dark walls, and atmospheric lighting put it head and shoulders above most three-star hotels. It's also well-situated with access to Alesia metro station, and in a neighbourhood with quite a few local restaurants, bistros and bars (though not too noisy), so lots of places to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the city without hordes of tourists.

On the downside (as with lots of accommodation in Paris), the rooms are a little small: the bed in ours was up against the wall on one side, which makes moving around a little tricky; and there's not much storage room, so it's probably better suited to a shorter stay. In spite of the size, we'd happily stay again and would really recommend it to friends.

Dear GlobeOtters,

Thank you for this interesting review. We are thrilled to hear that your stay was a nice one.

As a Parisian hotel, space is gold in the city. Don’t hesitate to book our higher category where the room have more space for longer stays.

We hope to see you soon,

Stayed at Max Hotel for two nights, and it was ideal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the location was very convenient, only a short walk from Alèsia metro station. Room was clean and reasonably spacious, with a comfy bed and excellent amenities. Highly recommend!
