First of all, great location. Just 100m from La Chapelle Metro line 2, which will take you direftly to Sacré Coeur and Charle de Gaulle ètoile. Gare du Nord is also just 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Upon arrival in the morning we could deposit our luggage and check-in in the evening.

The hotel itself looks to be renovated, which is a very very good thing.

We were given the room #166, which was located on the 6th floor, in the inner-court. When going to the room we were positively surprised by a very tiny elevator, which is very typical for Haussmann's Legacy..This adds to the climax of the historic building

The room itself was very big: there were two separated rooms, with a bathroom (with a shower) and a separated toilet. It also had a safe and a fridge. The room was very clean and cozy. Beds ware changed every day.

Breakfast area is located in a very cozy cellar, which made us think we were sitting in a typical french wine cellar. The continental buffet was ok. Pain ou Chocolat was very good but we missed some fresh fruits. However the cheeses and charcuterie weren't covered with glass, which made them dry very fast.
The breakfast staff didn't ask for our room numbers, they just gave us a list of all guest where we were supposed to find our names and sign next to it. We found this option terrible, because:
1) privacy: not everybody would like other people to know that Mr. X is sleeping in room 104 and that Mrs. Y and he children are sleeping in room 203;
2) anybody could sign on your name and later there would be probably some problems when checking out. We hope the GM will change this system very soon and will make it more professional. :)

Special thanks go to Mrs. Nadia - the FO Manager.
We found her very professional and very helpful. She suggested us the best places to do the shopping and the best places to eat something traditional at a reasonable price. She printed our boarding cards with pleasure and she let us leave our luggage for some hours after checking out.

We stayed at Faubourg from 27.02 to 03.03.2018 and will definitively come back with pleasure.

I’m going to start with the title of this review!!! You simply get what you pay for.
Reading reviews could be off putting but knowing Paris could be expensive and we were there to explore not spend time at the hotel we went ahead and booked!
It may not be a glamorous hotel but the location was fantastic. 10 min walk from Gare Du Nord when we arrived on the Euro Star and then it was a road crossing away from the metro!
Our room was located on the sixth floor and used the small lift to transport our luggage upstairs, the small lift isn’t the end of the world.
The corridors are small but I’d say it adds some character to what is an old building!
The bathroom was cosy but the shower was of good size, powerful and warm.
You couldn’t fault the room for being clean and the staff changed the sheets ahead of our second night stay.
Secure safe provided with electronic lock and hair dryer.
We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel but why would we when we were there to explore and eat our way around this beautiful city!
Staff were friendly and polite at all times. Rolls of carpets were in the entrance hall but it looked like they are refurbishing some rooms.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I’m Paris.

First at all, we wqant to thank you for choosing Hotel Faubourg 216-224 for your stay in Paris.

We are glad to know that you are overall satisfied with your stay.

The hotel is currently enjoying beautification works, This explains the presence of carpet rolls in the lobby.
We want to apologize for this visual impact and we are delighted to hear that this has had no impact of your stay.

As you indicated the rooms were clean and the staff helful.

We are aware that our lifts are small but it is part of the Haussmann legacy.

This is a small friendly hotel in a busy area of Paris. Close to Gare du Nord and 100m to La Chapelle metro station makes it very convenient. It is also about 10-15 mins walk to Montmartre along a busy road. The hotel itself is chic and smart. The lobby is decked in marble and has a small lounge area with drink and snack machine. The route to the bedrooms is small but it is clean. The bedroom was larger than I expected and comfortably furnished. It was spotlessly clean and had extras such as a safe, fridge, hairdryer and TV. Everything worked fine and the room was also quiet - it looked over the back. The breakfast was taken in the vaulted cellar - a brightly lit vibrant room with a full buffet continental selection. All the staff there were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

I was nearly scared off coming after reading other reviews but let me put this right. This is a great little hotel in a busy metropolitan area close to the metro and other trainlines and you won't go wrong staying there. I'm a middle aged woman and I stayed two nights with my 13 year old daughter.

It is about 1/4 mile walk up from Gare du Nord and 100 metres from metro La Chapelle. The road is busy with people of all ages, many of them men but also many women and children. There is a bus station, plenty of shops selling food, a patisserie, bars, clothing shops, a pharmacy - the real hubub of life not some fake boutique in a tourist area. It was still busy early evening. We didn't venture out past 9pm and maybe it was different then but before I felt perfectly safe.

The hotel itself is small but beautifully presented (although the rolls of carpet in the foyer suggests they were re-fitting some rooms). The staff were all very friendly and helpful - some spoke better English than others. Our room was on the first floor and it was large. The view wasn't much to write home about but it was quiet. We walked up the steps to get there and agree with others they were narrow and twisty (old building) but they were clean.

The room had 2 beds and a convertible sofa-bed. The bed linen was changed daily and the room was spotless. The beds were firm. There was also a hairdryer, easy-to-use safe, fridge and TV. The bathroom was in good working condition and nicely laid out.

Breakfast was in the basement. The staff were extremely friendly - even to my friend who was staying at a different hotel. For E10 you get a full range of continental breakfast - pastries, bread rolls, cheeses, ham, fruit pots, conserves, nutella and yogurt. There was also cereal. It's a buffet so nothing to stop you returning. The cheese could have done with a glass lid to stop it drying out but the only complaint. There was a vending machine for coffee/tea. I thin some customers asked about alternatives but that wasn't an option. It might seem expensive but good value for Paris.

The hotel also has a waiting area with tables, chairs etc. a vending machine for snacks, another for drinks and a lockable storage room for cases (the receptionist kept the key) which was just off reception.

I would stay here again and would heartily recommend the venue.

Room Tip: I was on room 215 at the back which was quieter.

We enjoyed our stay. The value was very good for the price point. Location not fancy but convenient. I would stay here again on my next visit to Paris, so I guess that says it all. Just a warning, the elevator is very small so if you have troubles with stairs the elevator may not be the best.
