What do I start with...too difficult, too many details and I don't want to write a book.

Let's start with the history of this place that started with the grand opening of THE Ritz in 1898. Food and gourmet were almost defined here so it's only fitting that this is sort of a temple to it. The French Regency décor is truly magnificent and one does feel as a head of state in Versailles. It does go beyond that to the romantic.

The food...well...let's just say that you should know you will do some damage to whatever budget you have, and you should take this opportunity to do a tasting menu...ouch! Yes, but it's a nice ouch! Just trust them and sit back and enjoy a meal that you will remember and treasure, specially if in great company!

Wine...well...depends on each person's budget, but they will ensure that within reasonable limits, you get the right pairing. Trust me, I am a Sommelier and they know what they are doing.

Enough said...it's a must do...PERIOD!

We were disappointed the Ritz was under renovation the last few times we came to Paris. We were ecstatic it's finally open again.
We skipped the other casual eatery coz it was noisy and the menu was fast food like.
As expected, service at l'espadon was impeccable. Wine list was extensive. Dessert was to die for. However, we were both a tad disappointed with the main course. It didn't live up to the Ritz name.

Sumptuous and luxuriant in everyway. Walking into the one of the most beautiful places to dine is breathtaking. The service is of course at the highest level imagined and the food is out of this world - delicious, beautifully presented and in abundance.

When Chef Nicolas Sale took over after the Ritz Paris renovation, one could wonder what he would make of the legacy of his 9 predecessors, including the legendary Auguste Escoffier, and some others like Bocuse d'Or winner Michel Roth.

Coming down from his mountain with two Michelin in each of his restaurants, the Chef has achieved what many would have thought was impossible. His cuisine is exquisite, his choices intriguing and the results are a journey towards amazing desserts created by the Pastry Chef François Perret. The "voyage" is sublimely accompanied by the wine chosen by Cheffe Sommelière Estelle Touzet. In the end, there is no doubt that stars will rush to this restaurant to enjoy a memorable dinner. And here, we are talking about those stars that count in gastronomy. Those from the little red guide...

There is no doubt that next time I'm in Paris, the Ritz Paris it will be!
