It was a rainy day in Place de l'Horloge in Nimes, and we dived into one of the first cafes that seemed to be attractive. We were not disappointed … The inside seating area was on two floors, and it was attractive and well-organised. The service was low-key, but very efficient. There was a wide range of snacks, desserts & drinks, and we settled for the French classic Croque Monsieur which was available in a range of types & sizes. The brasserie provided what for me is the optimum service - the meals were served quickly, they were generously sized and they were sensibly priced … almost a classic case of ‘under-claim and over-deliver,’ giving great value overall. Certainly a place to go back to.
