A colleague and I stayed here for one night whilst on business .
We found the rooms clean, warm and quiet. The two concierges we met, one early in the evening and one later one, were charming and very helpful.
The hotel also has an indoor car park, which was a tremendous bonus as we have never been to Metz before, and were tired after a very long drive and had no idea where to park the car overnight, so for 10€ it was a godsend!
In the limited time we were there we thought Metz was a beautiful city, and would like to return there, but next time I’ll come when it’s not so cold....-8!!
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it’s in the very heart of the town, perfectly placed for an uninterrupted by traffic walk, as the streets are closed off to traffic in the evening, clean and friendly, what more could you ask?

The hotel is centrally located, staff friendly, and rooms are large. Everything else goes from bad to worse. No A/C. There is a corner bath in the bedroom with a shower head you have to hold - no hook. The decor matches the bath, from last century, with our room down a narrow, sloping corridor. Breakfast was the worst I have seen in a long time, inedible pastries.Poor wi-fi.It's a tour hotel, and best avoided.

Room Tip: Try another hotel

We loved this old-fashioned hotel in the pedestrian area very near Metz Cathedral and other key sites. The rooms are large and high-ceilinged - and quiet, as they open onto a central covered courtyard. The bed was large and comfortable. The wifi was free and excellent. And the reception staff were particularly friendly and efficient.

But it is not luxurious. The coffee/tea service in the bedroom comes with thin plastic cups, the bathroom basin didn't have a plug (a possible problem for contact lens wearers) and there is no hot food at breakfast.

So don't stay here if you like modern hotels - but do stay here if you like traditional French hotels, right in the middle of a beautiful city.

Stayed at this hotel with a friend on our way back to the UK after a coach trip to Austria. This hotel is very central and handy to many different restaurants. Our room was good, with traditional nice looking furniture. The bathroom was modern with plenty of hot water and the beds were comfortable. There were tea/coffee making facilities which is quite unusual in Europe. The breakfast was continental but ample with a choice of foods. The staff were pleasant. The wi-fi did not work in our room but that wasn't a problem as only there for the one night. Easy walking to see the cathedral etc. Would recommend.
