If you are in Bayeux, be sure to spend an evening at this wonderful restaurant/ wine bar.
There is an extensive wine collection and the owner is quick to recommend a wine to make the perfect accompaniment to what ever culinary delight you have opted for.
My partner and I indulged in his own Chardonnay to enjoy alongside a fantastic French onion soup and a very tasty herring and salmon terrine, before moving onto a chateauneuf du pape with our rib of steak and cheeseboard. Whilst I was disappointed with the steak, that reflects more of my personal preference for filet than anything else.
The staff are fantastic and it is them, the owner in particular, that make this place an absolute joy to visit

We enjoyed a great dinner with our dearest friends in the world. The wine suggestions were superb and the dinner was exquisite, down to the phenomenal desserts!

Thanks again and I look forward to visiting the next time we are in the area.

Le volet qui penche. A small restaurant with seating for 20, maybe 22 so make reservations if you want a excellent dinner with some of the best wines in the area. Pierre Henry Lessier will pair the wines with you choice of the evening meal. The menu we had was the plate of the day. It was a combination of chicken and a spicy pork sausage, quit delightful. Service was above average and the quality of food was worth going back to. If you're in Bayeux, France I recommend this restaurant. Enjoy the wine, the food, and the great employees.

We had an excellent meal--escargot, french onion soup and the absolute best raw oysters we have ever eaten. They were picked fresh that day and it showed. We split a steak as well. This is a small restaurant so you should make reservations. There are not a lot of choices on the menu--maybe 5 or 6--but what they do they do well. Very nice wine selection and good desserts. The restaurant is off a side street near the center of Bayeux.
