The location of this was not where we expected. Our mistake. It was not the Provence experience we were looking for however it was a beautiful châteaux situated closely to the toll road. The hotel was just off what felt like a industrial estate. HOWEVER.. The entrance was pretty impressive. The grounds were lovely, outside swimming pool, romantic setting at the back with lovely laid up tables. They kindly upgraded our room which was very pleasant. The room was clean and tidy.

We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant, but pictures of it looked great when looking at it online. We would have loved to eat there that night we just weren't budgeting for that price point. We actually ate dinner at a near by (walking distance) cheaper hotel and had raclette. Simple and cheap.

My wife and 8 month old baby stayed here for a week and we were very well looked after (including the baby). The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant well deserving of it star rating. The only small draw back is that the restaurant was closed on the Sunday and Monday and there are no alternative dining options within walking distance. Great stay, thankyou!

Location is fine once you turn off the business park do not be out off, easy to get into Aix and nice and quiet. Friendly professional staff. Impressive building and beautiful grounds.
Room was very very nice, clean, comfy bed, lovely sheets, nespresso machine, good bathroom with nice products.

Our disappointment came in the pool area.
Patio surrounding pool covered in pine needles etc from the trees which is fine but was not swept in two days we were there or I suspect for a while before we arrived. No rail in and out of the pool which was slippy and steep steps and older people we saw struggled. There is a toilet and changing room/shower next to the pool which urgently needs renovating , it is nowhere near the standard of the hotel.
Again this was not checked throughout the day, empty bottles over floor of shower wet towels.
There is a bar/BBQ area not in use next to the changing rooms which was really dirty, dirty cloths, untidy etc.
Towels at pool kept running out no one checked these.
New loungers around pool do not go flat so if you want to sun your back you have to lay on the patio floor.

15 minutes to Marseilles airport which was great for our return home.

I would recommend this hotel it is lovely and we had a good time ...if only the pool area could be brought up to standard this hotel could be excellent.

We met family and friends In this lovely Chateau on the outskirts of Aix . We were the first of our group to arrive , the welcome was great . Rooms large and very nice.
all facilities are great lovely breakfast with the option of eating outside . Very easy drive into Aix-en - Provence where there is so much to do. Also parking onsite and very easy to travel to the little hill top towns nearby. Fantastic swimming pool, bar service and great restaurant . All three couples had a great experience

You actually would expect a hotel like this somewhere driving miles and miles of country roads. We thought our gps was wrong when driving through the industrial area ad it said only 400 more meters to get there. It´s a hidden gem - yes - close to the highway and the industrial area and in our bedroom the view is not very sexy - so leave the shades down, but everything other view in this house is just beautiful! The whole decoration, floor tiles, stairways indoor and outdoor are well chosen. OK - taking a shower is interesting as they didn´t install a shower curtain or anything there but that is not the problem of the guest, rather of the cleaning lady when you are spilling water. But the room we stayed in was really spacious and beautiful - separated toilet and bathroom - nice! We got helped with our huge luggage immediately, got a welcome drink and a tour of the house. The pool is a great laid back area in the back of the garden and we totally loved it to refresh and relax after a long driving trip from the pyrenees. The drinks we ordered were huge and a great aperitif to start the late afternoon and getting ready for dinner which we had in the beautiful garden with the experimental molecular food of Pierre Reboul - what a treat - what an experience. All tables were completely booked, but the atmosphere was not stressed and the food was unbelievable. The bed to sleep in was wonderful and I am sure the breakfast will be fantastic too - we will head out for a swim now to wake up - thank you Chateau de la pioline, it was a beautiful experience staying with you and your lovely team.

Room Tip: Room nr. 31 was beautiful, quiet and spacious.
