We loved this hotel. The service from all staff was excellent, from Reception, cleaners and waiting staff. Not only helpful but with a lovely attitude.
We loved the decor, the blend of old and new but I can see those wanting a more traditional Provençal vibe probably wouldn't.
The swimming pool was a godsend and just big enough.
And we had a very hard to please teenage girl with us!!

The receptionist was a bit off putting and surly on arrival. It was a shame as the hotel was different to say the least all decorated in typical Christian Lacroix fashion and he had gone to town on the decoration.

The room was average size but very dark with tiny windows over looking the swimming pool, the window which may have been used originally for bow and arrows. The room was bare no fittings just a wooden wardrobe a metal chair and a desk which was a mirror. The bathroom was modern tiled with a shower room but no bath. The wall lights did not meet the bed side cabinets. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is excellent for Arles sight seeing as it is very central

Room Tip: All rooms seem to be dark and smaller than usual

In the summer time, they are plenty of things to do in the south of france, from Avignon, Arles, Juan les Pins with music, exhibitions, and specfic activities like divers exhibitions of fotography in Arles. Among the new place to visit, a fresh renovated hotel Jules Cesar in Arles. Completly redesign by a fashion icon Christian Lacroix, the old convent of the XVIIene century is now an very nice hotel very central and near to most of interesting activities proposed downtown during the summer season. For the moment, they are rooms at bargain price considering being in a very touristic area of the South of France. Other priviledge a fantastic restaurant with a menu strating at 29 Euros

Our room was not ready for check-in when we arrived. We were greeted by a frazzled front desk lady, clearly not in control of her job, who seemed bothered by our questions.
The dry sauna was not working, there was nobody at the bar by the pool.
Our wake up call was not made, and arriving for breakfast at 7 am, we had to wait for somebody to come and bring us coffee.
None of the staff spoke decent English.
The wifi is slow, websites load very slowly, don't even think about video.
The room was clean and comfortable, although our bed was 2 actual twin beds joined together and we could feel a slight gap/joint between them.
The breakfast was great, and the hotel location is very good.
Not trying to be picky, but I believe the gaps in service mentioned above should not happen in a 5-star hotel.

Room Tip: Our room was on the third floor by the stairs and it was nice and quiet

I stayed here with my brother and our parents for one night. My brother and I shared a twin room which was big but there was absolutely no view and very little light. However, my parents were put downstairs were there was no view as they were kind of underground.
The decoration was not quirky, it was just quite tasteless.
The staff were unhelpful and slow. It took us very long to check in for absolutely no reason.
The duvets and pillows were plasticy and uncomfy.
The internet was barely even there it was so slow.
The bathroom in my parents' room was so dark.
I really wouldn't recommend this hotel even for one night. It's SO overpriced.
Perhaps I thought it was so bad because we had just been staying at the hotel Crillon-le-Brave which is the best hotel in the world and nothing can really compare. If you are going to Provence and want a 5 star hotel, go there instead.
