This family run restaurant in a side street is well worth a visit. The blue and white décor is attractive and the cartoons on the walls are quite a feature.

The food is good value for money with pasta and fish both excellent.

Very quiet till at least 8.00pm

We were staying right across the street and found this while looking out our balcony one evening. The nicest man and a lady were running this restaurant when we popped in. Service wasn't rushed (if looking for something quick go somewhere else, this is a cute relaxing spot, date night even) so it was perfect for a long lingering evening after our day shopping. Food was fabulous, you can tell it is prepared from scratch. Beautiful fish dishes and simple pasta presented so well on the cutest patterned plates. Even though the nice man had no English we managed to communicate a cup of hot water for my grandmother's teabag and he happily obliged. Great value for a really lovely local meal.

Monday evening in February, looking for somewhere to eat, and we stumbled across this little restaurant just off the Promenade des Anglais, 25 euros menu advertised outside, too good to miss,
Very good it was too. Raviolis for him, fish terrine for me, followed by seabass and steak in pepper sauce. Good selection of cheeses, slightly disappointing creme catalane to finish. Everything delivered at a nice pace, well cooked, good sauces and accompaniments of freshly cooked vegetables. Not haute cuisine but good honest fare.
Some French reviews are very harsh, not our experience at all.

After wandering through Nice looking for something not too commercialised but also not too "street" we stumbled upon this place. The steaks were cooked to perfection and just melted in our mouths. The waiter was not very chatty but he was attentive enough for our needs.
The room was simple and the food delicious

We came here by accident really as the restaurant we were heading for was closed on a Sunday evening. We were heading back to our hotel to see if we could eat there and happened to glance up a little side street and spot this charming little blue painted restaurant with a few tables outside. We went to look at the menu and saw what appeared to be a very reasonably priced three course set menu for 29 euros. There was a couple sitting at a table who heartily recommended the place, saying it was the best meal they'd had in Nice so we decided to try it.

We received attention immediately and chose wine and food promptly. That continued throughout the evening, pleasant and attentive service and we had no complaints whatsoever about that.

First course was ravioli in a creamy sauce, a good sized portion and very flavoursome. For main, I had chosen a chicken curry type dish with saffron rice and my husband had chosen a lamb dish. Again, portion size was good and we both enjoyed the food. For pud, we both had crime brûlée and enjoyed that too. There were around three choices on this set menu for each course so I'd think most people could find something to choose.

We had a most pleasant evening. As others have said, it's quite nice to be away from the bussle of some of the busier streets and since we'd had a very poor experience the previous night at a well-regarded restaurant in the centre of town, we were happily surprised by how much we enjoyed this restaurant and for a much more reasonable price. We would visit again when in Nice.
