The location of Windsor hotel is perfect - near everything: Le Promenade des Anglais, Place Massena and train station within short walking distance and many nice restaurants just around the corner. Our room was spacious, light and beautyfully decorated - felt very new and clean also. There is a nice atmosphere in the hotel and some "fun" decorations everywhere - and the elevator-ride sounds like you are on a trip to the moon...The staff is also welcoming and very helpful with any questions. This will definitely be our first choice of hotel in our next stay in Nice.

We stayed a week here as I had been used to collecting my grandchildren from Nice airport but never really got to know Nice. I had always thought the hotel Windsor sounded very attractive but had chosen to stay for convenience close to the airport. It was as delightful as I had expected it to be. Lovely building with lush garden and the added pleasure of quirky art. I loved the dress made of horse chestnut leaves on display in the lobby and would very much like to know who the artist was. The breakfasts were good although initially it was confusing to work out what breakfast one was having. Delicious bread as always in France but excellent jam. We had some meals at the hotel which were very good . The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and we loved that the staff gave good recommendations. The hotel is well situated near the promenade des anglais and not far from the station. The staff charming and helpful and patient.

Room tip: I would ask for garden room

Thank you for your nice comment. We are glad you appreciated the art in our hotel as well. The dress from chestnut leaves is made by the artist Emma Picard
The art in the lobby is changed every year; Right now, the artist jean Dupuy is exposing in the lobby.
For the breakfast we have 3 formulas: The full breakfast buffet at 14 Euro, the continental breakfast at 9 Euro and the Express Formula at 6 Euro (1 hot drink with 2 mini pastries).

We hope to see you soon again to explore other art in our lobby and also another artist room.

Kind regards,

We hadn't originally planned to stay at the Windsor but were booked into it at very short when, on arriving in Nice, it was discovered that there was a problem with the apartment we had rented. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and made us extremely welcome. Our two rooms, with contrasting artistic designs, were both clean, comfortable and well equipped. The tropical garden and pool, that you would not know existed from the street outside, are beautifully kept and provide a great place to relax and enjoy a drink and/or a meal. The hotel's position is excellent; close to the beach / promenade, the station, local shops and, just a short stroll away, the Old Town. We had no complaints whatsoever and would have no hesitation staying at Hotel Windsor again. In particular we would highlight the great attitude of all the staff we spoke to during our stay - nothing was too much trouble and we were always met with a smile. That really makes a difference.

Room tip: Best rooms are probably those overlooking the garden.

This was our fifth stay at the Windsor since 2008 and was enjoyable as our earlier visits. We stayed for 5 nights. The welcome is always warm, the rooms are individually decorated and the elevator ride always fun. The tropical garden and pool are ideal for meals and relaxing on the warm summer days and evenings. The hotel's position is central to whatever you want; the Gare, the Promenade, the Old Town and plenty of shops and restaurants.
Some rooms are quite small and okay for a night or two. We stay in a mid-priced Seduction room which are a little larger, and always on the garden side. Always very happy. As with a lot of French hotels sometimes the bathroom plumbing may be a little eccentric, but the water is hot.
Next time in Nice we will be back at the Windsor.

Room tip: book on the garden side

An Idéal Hôtel for me. In the Middle of everything ( shops, restaurants, muséums, Mediterannean Sea). Thé hôtel décor is unique where each room or public Space has works of art and poems of different artists. A luxurious garden including heated pool for breakfast or dinner. By thé way, lunch or dinner is recommend with traditional French and Provençale dishes. In addition, thé price is reasonable for quality offered. Not luxury, but
definitely QUALITY.
