Staying here with a group of ten friends for a road cycling long weekend. The Hotel is only a short hop from the airport. The staff are friendly and helpful and mostly speak good English. Rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable with en suite bathrooms. The car park is locked at night and there is a secluded gated area opposite reception where bikes can be stored. There is a large store room inside where bike boxes can be stored. The breakfast is served between 7am and 11 and is very good with omlettes, bacon and scrambled eggs, cold ham and cheese, cereals, croissants, yogurt with a coffee machine and fruit juices. Pretty much as you would expect in France. No evening meals but we wanted to go out anyway. The hotel gives fairly easy access to the stunning Cote d'Azur cycling area. Getting in and out of Nice was surprisingly easy.
The Hotel Oasis is a good value, clean and tidy little place. It is no 5 star Mecca but it doesn't pretend or need to be. Good place for a group of friends to be based for a cycle trip with pretty good eating to be had on the Rue d'Anglettaire a few minutes walk away. Highly recommended is the Saetone restaurant which does Italian and French food. Get there before 7.15 if you hope to get seated though. (See my separate review).More
