The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and most of all, for a tapas-style meal, actually filling. Methinks the menu changes according to season, not entirely sure, but the Akolytes burger blew our minds, so if it's on offer, try it.

The waiting time for the food was a little bit long, but it appeared to be a one-man-show in the kitchen, and besides, the food was totally worth the wait, so our advice is, come here when you're not absolutely ravenously starving.

The service was fantastic - we didn't wait to long to be presented with the blackboard, and had the dishes explained to us. Waiting time for orders to be taken wasn't long either, and we appreciated how quickly the plates were cleared to make room for the upcoming dishes.

It wasn't cheap, but it was a good value meal, when all is said and done. The restaurant is super chic, and great for romantic dinners. We're definitely returning to this restaurant on our next trip.

There are few great choices in the Pharo neighborhood of Marseilles, so Les Akolytes is a welcome treat. Situated just across the street from the beach, it is a humble, simple space with zero ambiance and harsh lighting. But don't be fooled -- Raoul and his staff offer a wonderfully creative version of local Marseille cuisine, with a daily selection of varied tapas and a great choice of wines. For 20 euros per person, you get two plates each of wonderfully varied, intensely-flavored dishes, often charmingly presented. We loved the octopus and fava beans, oysters, mussels Provencal, "crumble of sardines," and slider-sized cheeseburgers. A nice creme brûlée with raspberries caps the evening beautifully. Service is prompt and helpful. If we ever return to Marseille, we will be back at Les Akolytes.

We were recommended this by the concierge at the Sofitel for something simple, inexpensive and nearby and it certainly didn't disappoint.
The tapas style menu was unexpected but worked well (20€ for 2 dishes per person was plenty). The food was outstanding and imaginatively presented: beignets of courgette flowers; sardines under a Parmesan crumble; roast bone marrow; burrata with pesto tomato salad... We will be back for more!

I went there with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed it. The place is quite small, very close to la plage de catalans. Their portions are small but food is excellent. We loved the gaspacho. Service was also very good.

This restaurant is nice and all ingredients are gathered for a nice evening : good food, good service, good wine ! The share concept can be a bit annoying when it is good so if you are numerous it is better to take 2 plates of something or you will end up with one spoon of risotto.
Unfortunately the terrace has nothing special and is on the sidewalk, but the open windows catch up this point. Nevertheless inside can get noisy sometimes.
It can get a bit pricy depending on what you choose, so watch out if you need to !
It is always a good night at les Akolytes and the go back quiet often for years now !
